Had excellent help from Angie in Meijer Meat Dept as well as from Dana in Dairy: they were knowledgable, customer oriented, kind, and stopped what they were doing to assist me. That would make me want to come back because of the interactions with those two employees. At fast lane check out all of a sudden after I passed a meat called Cab Eye of Round, red light started to flash and I couldn't continue with rest of my order until an employee came. Employee Jo Ann K. appeared. And I told her after the meat item tried ot scan, red lights came on and I couldn't continue. Rather than addressing the problem, she looked over my other items and questioned with a sour look if I had scanned two of the items: ice and a styrofoam container. I told her I had scanned them at the very beginning of scanning my order. I was shocked as if her attitude seemed to accuse me of stealing those items, and I told her to check. She did check and those items showed as scanned, then she did some other pressing of buttons and I could continue. When she asked me in the way she asked, I should have walked away or asked for a supervisor. Next time, I will do one of those two things and Jo Ann K can put the items back. Thankfully the other two employees had positive attitudes and helped me. I will avoid Jo Ann K. read more

Clean, fast friendly service, fresh fruits and vegetables, and pretty much whatever you need day to day. One stop shopping with plenty of parking and it's usually not too crowded - head to the self checkout by the pharmacy to get out faster! read more

I honestly love Meijer, from the aesthetic to the quality of the products that I buy here. I appreciate that at this location, the staff seems exceptionally helpful and friendly, and I always find myself having wonderful conversations with the staff. In addition, this store is also very clean, well-stocked, and easy to navigate. I really like the wide variety that this location carries in the pet section, even offering a machine to engrave dog tags, which came in handy when we adopted our puppy a few months ago! Generally speaking, the produce is always quite fresh though it disappoints me to shop in their meat section as their salmon portions are too small to serve as a main course for an adult, but they do not offer any other fresh varieties in larger quantities. I do really like that they have a Starbucks available too, as the staff is super friendly and usually pretty quick to serve even when they have a line. read more

The apparel department doesn't even have a try-on room. I picked out some jeans to try on. If I'm lucky, I can try on 3-4 pair and MAYBE find one that fits right. A superstore with some better quality items compared to Wal-Mart. I enjoyed a quick run through for some necessities while traveling. I could see that they have items you wouldn't find in other superstores. The stuffed animals by Gumd were a nice find. I found the staff helpful and the store well stocked. read more

We went into this store last Wednesday around 4:55. We went to the Deli and nobody was around to help us as we waited there with another couple. Finally somebody came to tell us that the Deli closes at 5 pm. What on earth kind of a way is this to do business? Most people do not even get off from work until 5 pm. These are crazy hours for a Deli. We wanted to get some meat and cheese and had to leave empty handed for our 40 mile drive home - too expensive to go back the next day at today's gasoline prices. Other than that, the store is okay, but it is time to step back into the 21st century. read more

All Meijers rock, IMO. Some rock harder. We need them on the West Coast. They're like better-priced Targets, with inventory similar to Walmart's and no membership required to avail yourself of their benefits (including attractive gasoline prices and sometimes car washes). Some have Starbucks inside. Some are very attractive from an interior design point of view (clothing and shoes). All seem to boast fair to better-than-fair prices. Extensive selection of produce and the tipple, too. This chain was established by a Dutch immigrant (it's pronounced "My-erh") in the 1930s as Americans were climbing out of the Great Depression. Its headquarters are in Grand Rapids, Michigan. I live in Southern California and already miss them and their house brand of snacks. Give one a visit if you encounter a store in the Midwest. read more

Train your employees, and especially at Starbucks about children with disabilities. Not every single child understands, communicates, or understands verbal communication. My three year old toddler was yelled at by the Starbucks staff who were absolutely horrible. I sat down, cried my eyes out, and felt so embarrassed that my children were being yelled at by someone because of a communication delay they have. You should be ashamed of yourself for such poor behavior towards a three years old, especially after you were informed that the child your yelling at to not touch something that's in a display they they do not understand. Nor can she comprehend either, nor will she listen because verbal comments is hard for her. My children do not deserve to be treated like shut with them ending up on the floor at Starbucks crying because of your mistreatment, and misunderstanding even after the parent explained that is why your daughter can't listen, it's not that she doesn't want to she can't understand she has a neurological disorder that disables her ability to understand mom, or others. Compassion, love, and more should be spread not hate. read more

This is my favorite one stop shop in the Soo. They have great sales, they have an amazing fresh produce section, and most employees are friendly and easy to find! It's was about time the soo got a Meijer! It is a plus for our small community. I'm really enjoy the shopping experience and atmosphere. I usually shop here 3-4 times a week. The sales! Sales at Meijer are great! I love how I don't have to shop at 2-3 other stores to get the deals. I have actually saved on my monthly grocery bill by shopping strictly at Meijer. There is no need to go to a competitor. Now back to the produce department, AMAZING fresh vegetables and fruits. By far the best produce is our town. There are so many FRESH options and the prices cannot be beat! It's so much easier to eat healthy and try new exotic fruits that we couldn't find before. As for the employees. 98% of them are so nice, friendly and go above and beyond to help. The store manager has been on the floor a couple times while I been in there, she was even working at the registers. She was so friendly and nice! Great job on building a positive place to shop. The cashiers. They are so friendly and they always get me out as fast as they can, while still holding a conversation with me! Great job guys and gals. You guys are all stars. The only reason I did not give Meijer a 5 Star is the 2% of employees. As previously mentioned I shop here a lot! I have witnessed the same blonde worker (she wears a blue button down shirt, and recently a vest, so I'm assuming she could be some type of management because other workers wear the dark blue polo looking shirts. ) sitting or standing up front sipping a Starbucks coffee. Does she not have anything better to do? I have also heard this same employee talking about drinking and going out with friends. The only reason I recognize her is because she talks loud, and every time I see her in the store I get no eye contact or hello, and I noticed her usually just chatting it up with people (not shoppers) employees or just standing around and think I wish I could've done that when I was a manger for 10 years! If the store director can get on a register cant she? Please find this gal something to do! If she's a manager shouldn't she an example for her employees!? Should she be talking about drinking with friends, should she be having casual conversation like they are at some kind of reunion. Sorry this was long, I just hate that one employee can ruin the experience of such a great place and I was a manager for 10 years so I know what to look for in a good manger. -Diane read more

Employees everywhere going out of their way to help, coupons that are relevant to your shopping habits, a new Sbux, gorgeous produce and deli area and open checkout lanes fully staffed. Clean store. Terrible customer service. Walked almost the entire store and never saw one employee. Checkout girls was gathered around one register chatting. Unfriendly and unwelcoming when asked for assistance. read more
