Second Childhood focuses mainly on infant and children's clothing and items (toys, furniture, gear, etc.). They are a little pricey compared to other resale shops, but they do have much better quality and more name brand items than most resale shops in the area. You do need to be careful about when you go in to shop - with so little space the store fills up quickly. I also tried to take my toddler one day and the store clerk's children hounded her and wanted to "share" her doll, which made her cry. They made my shopping experience much more difficult than it needed to be, but we did leave with exactly what we were after and for half the price of purchasing new. I stop in frequently because the deals are worth any "assistance" provided by extra little people.

Nice to be able to bring children to work, I know how hard and expensive it is to deal with child care. I love Halloween, so when I found this store I was extremely excited. The front part is mostly for tourist gifts. They have a few wigs and hats but a lot of shirts, magnets, and coffee cups as well. Head to the back and you will find their very small section of halloween items. Behind the Halloween items you can see what was once left of whatever this building used to be. It was really cool and sparked my interest more than the selection of Halloween items. Like I said, they have one room (a very very small section) for some basic Halloween items. Seeing as it is remote in Northern Michigan this is as good of place as any of you are looking for quick costume add on a. This place gets three stars because the Halloween mural outside is fantastic and the building is super creepy. I would shop online if you are wanting a good start to a costume though. Ordering textbooks online has been a breeze too, although it can take awhile for the order to be ready for pickup at times. I never spend more than two minutes waiting though at pickup, which seems well worth the wait on picking up my order! The staff is super friendly too, I recommend reaching out to the manager with any issues or textbook selection delays. She's absolutely wonderful!

I drove a long way to sightsee at the university. once went there. the bookstore was dismal…read more the prices were REALLY high and the selection horrible, especially for women. in fact all the shirts looked like irregular sizes. hardly any of the shirts were in the school colors. hardly a selection for men or women--don't remember any for kids. none of the shirts had the school logo--NOT ONE--LSSU. the school looks a little tired. they are not serving themselves well with mismarketing. in fact, they are missing the mark on marketing and branding altogether. I could give them some tips--but looks like they are set in this downward trend.
