The employees cant help that the greed of having one or two cashiers and zero baggers. But the town used to say "I can't wait until meijer comes in"! They used to say this to our face at felpausch! And now you have terrible service, no baggers taking out your groceries, no service telling you where to find something, no baker, no butcher, no deli, etc etc! No people knowing your name, thought you were going to get cheap prices? Now you have an ugly gas station and a dollar store that is more expensive than what you paid anyway. Your "small town" is gone and with it, your service. Soon, you will have the scourge of a big town! And you voted for it! read more

Weird vibe. Very distrustful staff, no matter the time of year or how busy, Meijer will never have more than one or two (extremely slow) counters open. Instead they herd you like cattle to their self check-outs where you are instantly suspected of stealing.. Invariably, your lane will freeze and a notice will appear on your screen: "help is on the way." So essentially Meijer is too cheap/stupid to hire more check out clerks, instead opting to force their customers into checking their own groceries where they're treated like criminals. Meijer knows that they're the only game in town so they could care less about customer service or respect. Personally I drive eight more minutes east to Kroger where the service is much faster and so much friendlier. In summation Meijer sucks! read more

I love shopping at Mejer. The store is?always clean, the help is always friendly and helpful, and, I can always find items easily.

If I could give this less than one star, I would. Came here Monday afternoon when the stock should be plentiful, and every item that I looked for that was on sale, and some that were not even sale items was gone from the shelves. Several shelves looked as empty as the week after Covid started. Very disappointing to have to now go shop someplace else to find the items I came here for. I guess I should've shopped somewhere else to begin with and I'm sure I will remember that. Your stock clerks need to keep up MUCH better. read more

What just happened to my wife today is unacceptable. She had a bottle of wine that was the wrong price. She explained where it was and its price. Cashier didn't care. So she went to customer service. The team lead check. Said yes all the bottle are in the wrong spot and explained. He said that it happened because the supplier is changing inventory. He said he will tell them to make sure the price tags are right in the future but can not honer the price. Then when my wife went to leave she was stopped and had to have her bagged check. . Lets be honest at that point its not about them being worried if she was stealing it was harassment because she complained and was right to do so. Shame on you for bait and switch!! read more

If you go to this Meijer late in the evening, learn from my mistake and never, ever, EVER use the staffed checkout lane. I was the only customer and made the mistake of checking out my weeks' worth of groceries on April 16 just after midnight. Instead of putting my meat into the reusable bags I'd brought, the cashier put them into plastic bag on the turnstile while I was still unloading my cart AND LEFT IT THERE!! I got home close to 1:00 AM, realized that I was missing $15 worth of steak and ground beef, couldn't go back out to get what was left behind (wondering how long it SAT on the carousel), and called the store. The acting manager's attitude was along the lines of, "Too bad, so sad. Courtesy desk closes at 10:00 PM. I've noted your description and you'll have to come in tomorrow to settle it." I can't believe in this day and age of computers that they couldn't match the meat on the baggage carousel to my ticket information. So take my advice: ALWAYS use the self-checkouts. ALWAYS. It might take you a little longer if you have a large order but at least you'll know that you have everything you paid for and won't have to make ANOTHER trip to the store to get your money back for their mistake and then replace what you have gotten in the first trip. read more

The new shopping line is garbage, they are barely staffed. It's also really dirty and the shelf's take forever to be restocked, they really screwed up this time adding all of that stuff without staffing extra people. read more

I will NOT be shopping here any longer. This is what I have found you must always check products because a lot of times they are close to expiration date, ads they run include items regularly priced acting like it is a sale, if the item on sale and is a good price good luck at getting it, notice they do not have baggers cashier bags groceries (they save money not having these), customer has to load bags in cart cashier stands there looking at you, pick up nor groceries take out is not available, many many times my bread has been smashed because of inaccurate bagging, I could go on and on. This store is definitely NOT customer friendly and it is NOT all the employees fault! Poor management and Meijer's is cheap! And last but not least their prices ARE NOT the cheapest they are actually one of the highest in major grocery stores. NO MORE! read more

This store usually has what I need... if I can actually get to it. I work nights and usually the only time I have to shop is after work, around 7:30 am. This store is open 24 hours, yet they're stocking the shelves at 7:30. Many times I can't even get into aisles I need because they're blocking them with their giant carts. Employees are friendly but it can be frustrating to shop there. read more

The Grand Ledge store is probably my favorite Meijer. The cashiers are very nice and the stock people are very helpful. Like all Meijer stores, the store tends to be understaffed. The store is usually very clean and easy to navigate. I like the new cash register set up for fast lanes, but I don't like it for the traditional lanes - it doesn't take into consideration that people will not wait for the prompts for an open lane and it can get totally messed up when people are having any kind of problem - debit/credit/gift cards that don't work, items that do not have price tags, etc. My biggest complaint with this store is that the people in charge (the blue button down shirts) tend to have an attitude, belittle employees in front of customers, and spend more time standing around talking to their favorites than helping customers. I had to return some bad meat that I purchased earlier today because it smelled bad and I had already started a recipe that called for ground meat. I took it to the customer service desk and spoke to Pamela. I told her I would like to replace it with some good meat, and that I would also like to be compensated for the inconvenience of having to return today. Pamela called the manager and proceeded to tell him that I was returning some meat that was "not very tasty." I didn't taste this meat. It was raw. It stunk. She then said to the manager, "how much of a courtesy should she get--her words not mine?" I'm standing there listening to her obviously thinking I shouldn't get anything for my trouble but the manager took care of it in the end and she handed me a coupon for $2.50 off my next purchase. I wasn't expecting a fortune, but when I worked in grocery we were taught to make that sort of thing up to the customer. It was not my fault that they sold bad meat. I miss the Okemos and Bath Meijer but I just moved to G.L. I think I'll drive the extra 6 miles to Horrocks from now on. read more
