Don't confuse this cemetery with the Historic one at Mission San Juan Bautista which is not far away. I did find of odd that a cemetery welcomes you to the town of San Juan Bautista. So kinda weird to review a cemetery. But I have always loved them in a strange way - so peaceful…read moreand often full of unique sculptures/tombstones. You can see history all around you, and so many generations...it just always makes me think (and remember not to take things for granted and enjoy the time we have here on earth). We were burying my mother-in-law's ashes next to her late husband. We were not going to have an formal burial (no preacher or anything). When we arrived it was all set up - a few chairs, a table with the ashes on them and a the little pile of dirt dug up. We didn't really know what to do (without a priest or anything) - So I asked the worker milling around us (obviously assigned to our party). He said we should say a few words, then he took the ashes and gently placed them into another container and glued all the edges, then gently placed the container in the ground and asked if we wanted to throw some dirt on it. That was it. My only compliant is that they do not allow FRESH flowers - only plastic. Oh and the pricing details go something like this (don't quote me on exact pricing) weekdays - no charge ($0) for burial Saturdays before 12noon ($400) Saturdays after 12noon ($800) Sundays (I think $1400-$2000)

He followed up with additional information less than 12 hours later and connected me with Sue who I was in communication with throughout the following day arranging pick up on the day the family requested. Sue was extremely helpful with providing additional information that helped us adovate for the family in the hospital. We received notification when a representative was on their way to the hospital-family was able to witness pick up and said representative was very kind. Family met at Habing with John the next day. Everything went smoothly. Service was scheduled and went beautifully. Representatives at the service-Memorial Park were kind and professional. Family still has to meet w/ Habing to pick out and plan headstone. Given our experience so far, we expect this process will go as smoothly as the rest. I appreciate Habing's entire staff for working with me, a family friend and making it easy for me to help my friend and her family lay their precious baby to rest. We are grateful.
