Been here several times…read more Bought an Opera cake for my bf's birthday a couple years ago here: it was fresh, delicious and moist, reminiscent of a tiramisu in texture and taste but different and delightful in its own respect. Good quality for a good price. Since then I've been back mostly with clients from work. For coffees and pastries. All delicious, served by the extremely sweet gentlemen that work there. They allow you to relax and are always happy to serve you at your table...they didn't even look annoyed when the elder gentleman next to us spilled his whole cup of coffee on the ground and dude guy came to clean it, still with a smile. Last visit I tried the samossas cuz I was starving....i was skeptical when they didn't have the usual sweet sauce that accompanies samossas...i was even more skeptical when they put them into the panini press to heat them up....But they were soooo delicious! At a very reasonable 1.35 per samossa I will be back for sure for these tasty lil buggars. Still discovering all they have to offer but lovin it more and more... Will keep comin back. (P.S. Mariko: this was the pastry place i mentioned in a previous conversation!)

Service was friendly and the place was clean and had many options to choose from…read more It's a upgrade from the bakery down the street jaura but still not the best local shop as copette has the best bread hands down but we still decided to give it a try because you gotta live a little and support other local bakeries not just your fav :) We got a baguette which was pretty good taste wise and still warm and fresh which was perfect as we were planning on making sandwiches later on in the afternoon. They have a great lunch counter in the back with soups, salads and wraps and sandwiches. I didn't get to try them this time but I will be back to give it a go next time. The pastries looked great still haven't tried mine yet as it's to early to start diving in to the sweets but they had some great options. I would return here as it's super close to me

Excellent pastries and breads, worth a stop if you happen to be in the Eastern Townships!read more

There are all different kinds of Yelpers, but I would say on balance Yelpers are more adventurous…read morethan the overall population. If you happen to be in Quebec Province and travelling from Montreal to Quebec City or vice versa, there are several towns you might stop in to get a cross sectional sample of history, from Chambly, a synthetic, plant and just add water instant suburb in the middle of a corn field, to Cowansville and Waterloo, Bromont and Shefford, places that are seeing tradition eclipsed by suburban sprawl, are still mainly agricultural, and are seeing some hard times, but as they will tell you, hard times are nothing new for these towns that started as pioneer settlements four centuries ago. In any case, to get a sense of all this, I would recommend stopping in at the local boulangerie in any of these towns, getting an elaborate pastry such as tartelette aux fruits, milles feuilles, napoleon, paris-brest, chocolatine or just an eclair with a great cup of coffee, capuccino, espresso, tea, or your choice of caffeinated beverage, and look out the window as people walk by and take you through a story both fascinating and sad at the same time. If you can, buy a loaf of bread to take with you, and if you are feeling forgetful you might neglect to realize this until you are safely back at home.
