I never should have stopped there! I asked to have one baby nail repaired n they ended up , cutting all my nails short! Acted like they did not understand anything I was saying. I never asked for all my nails cut down, just the baby nail! When I asked what they were doing, they started talking and laughing excessively , switched me in and out with different techs, and said that they did not understand me. This was my 1st time stopping in. My friend made the recommendation to go to Mai. I had to wait about 5 minutes and then she took me. She did an outstanding job. One thing to know before you go is that the workers speak Vietnamese around you. I don't know why this bothers me, but it does. I've been here about 4 times and the first two experiences were good. However the last two times I went were otherwise. I got a mani pedi with gel for the mani. The gel peeled off within a few days and the pedicure was horrible. This very last time I went to get my eyebrows done. I was desperate but figured if anything they'd get that right. I asked the lady to shape them and take as little hair off last possible. I walked out with very thin eyebrows, if I have any at all and the little bit I have isn't even arched. If I could rate this salon with no stars that would be the most accurate review I have about this place. First, I ask the gentleman not to use the drill on my nails and his reply was " I can't take off the polish", ME: yes you can just let the nail soak. At this point he develops an attitude and proceed to make nasty and smart comments about me refusing the use of the drill. Fast forward to my hands, I ask him to cut the nails shorter well needless to say he cut them entirely too short to where he couldn't even shape them with the nail file, so bcuz of this the nail bed area is bloody and tender to touch. I come here from time to time. I don't come to often because they are a little to pricey for me. But I came here on a Monday to get a pedicure and my eyebrows waxed. First off the customer service was excellent. Once I sat down to get my pedicure, I was asked if I wanted and water, tea, soda and some other drinks. She told me whatever I wanted she had. I don't think they had alcoholic beverages though LOL, I felt like she would have added that in the initial list of drinks she was offering. I got the lavender spa pedicure. That was the best pedicure I had in a long time. The lady really took her time. I got my eyebrows done by another lady, she did good too. After she waxed them, she actually took the time to use a razor and shape them up a little more. I didn't get neither one of their names. But next time I go I'm going to get them and update my review. I definitely recommend going here, especially to the two ladies who helped me. But I think everybody do good. All I heard were nice things coming from the customers while I was son there. Oh but now I don't recommend coming here to get your eyelashes done. I was at Mega nails towards the end of Aug. and the service was terrible (the girl that did my feet/pedicure). She was very unprofessional by leaving my feet in water that had turned cold because she was on and off the phone at minimum 5 times. She never apologized for leaving to answer her cell or making calls on her cell. When it was getting close to the tme she was scheduled to leave, she quickly painted my toes which was messy and the nail polish was on the sides of my feet that another tech. had take off with nail polish remover. Also, the girl failed to put a clear coat for the shine over my nails; and the mood color I chose ended up being the wrong color that changed into a horrible blue instead of the lavender/pink it was suppose to lighten up to reflect. So the other tech. Put a clear coat over my toes; and painted the correct mood color over my fingernails that were painted a purple mood polish that turned a ugly blue color. Even the technician that tried to correct the girls mistake expressed that the blue color was very ugly. read more

I was in the area today to go shopping at Andrews AFB. Stopped by to get my nails done. First and LAST time. They are limited in gel colors. My nails are awful. I will never go here again. Went in for a mani/pedi at 6:30pm and didn't leave until after 9:00pm. Polish on my cuticles. An older lady did my nails, she filed them without buffing them. First time here was last night, along with 2 of my girls. Two of us were getting full sets and a fill. My friend getting a fill didn't have any complaints since she was just getting a fill so there was no room for error. My other friend who was getting a full set as well, ended up backing out from getting a set after her acrylics were put on and were already being cut down for shaping. The lady working on her set just started throwing out charges for anything and everything. First off, we were being charged for every request we made. I understand that some nail salons charge extra for long nails, but they were even trying to charge us for shaping and narrowing the nail set. I mean since when do you have to pay for shaping nails??? The guy working on my set was amicable at first but as my set progressed he was being rough and careless as he did my set. At one point I tried to grab my phone to show him what exactly I wanted, but then scolded me for moving and to just tell him what I wanted. I simply wanted a semi narrow squared tip. After my friend backed out the guy who was working on her set started rambling about how other salons are cheap and I can add a lot more details, but in a nutshell this salon throws in extra charges for any requests. read more
