The tortillas and chips were amazing but then it does down from there. The salsa verde in the chilaquiles tasted like it had cinnamon in it. The carnitas were dry. The chicharron was soggy instead of crispy. The cabeza was good but dry. Red salsa was good but a little too sweet. The al pastor was very good as well as the aguas frescas read more

Never ordering from this restaurant, I placed an order and it came incomplete despite paying delivery, which is worth more than the meal itself. I called the restaurant and they took no accountability from the start & they're solution to the problem they created was for me to go get the food myself read more

Rica comida con un excepcional servicio! My encanta la carne asada y las tortillas son frescas!

I love Mexican food!!! I tried this place because of good yelp reviews. Let's see what happened... Mega Burrito is in a little, non-descript, low-rent, strip-"mallette". The parking there is bad/tricky. Not so bad getting in, but because it is so close to the road and angled spaces with a curb running the majority of the outside edge, getting out can be a pain. I walked in and it looks like the real-deal. Very Mexican, very barrio, very mamá y papá. It took several minutes for my waitress to come around, but she was very polite and pleasant. She told me, "Sorry, my English not so good." I said "That's O.K. my Spanish is not so good either". But we communicated and she took my order to the kitchen. I got the Steak Chimichanga with an extra side of rice and guacamole and a Coke (only because they had no Pepsi). She brought chips and salsa without asking. I hate to call these free, because clearly they are built into the price of their entrees. The chips were VERY HARD! Like almost dangerous to your teeth hard!!! (as I was leaving I saw racks and racks of triangle cut tortillas sitting by the front door apparently waiting to be deep fried, or maybe drying before cooking?) The salsa was quite good, nice flavor, a little zippy without being stoopid-hot. The Coke was "Mexican Coke", bottled in Mexico and made with real cane sugar and in a bottle- so no free re-fills. Never happy about that. She brought my food and the Chimi was covered in Queso, which most of the time is actually just "cheese flavored" fat-sauce. Not a fan. I would much rather have more good salsa and/or Pico de Gallo on my Chimi or Burrito. The steak in the Chimi was kind of tough and dry. The overall flavor of the Chimi was lacking. I found myself putting a dab of Salsa on every bite to make it taste like something. The rice was bland also, it did not taste like Spanish or Mexican rice to me. I squose several slices of lime on it for some flavor. The Guacamole was good, but I like to scoop up my Guac with chips and most of the chips served to me were very hard. (they also appeared to be "not fresh", not spoiled necessarily, but not fresh either.) The service was "relaxed" and I had to ask for more Salsa as my waitress was playing with her phone on the other side of the room. My bill for the food pictured was $25.00 before tip. It was NOT worth $25.00. Mega Burrito wasn't BAD, but it also wasn't very good. If I had other choices for Mexican food (which I do), I probably would not go back there. read more

A communication gap caused all kinds of mistakes at this restaurant. I ordered, in Spanish, 4 hard shell tacos. I received 2 soft shell tacos. I told the server, I'd eat them, but asked for 2 more to complete my order. This time, I received 4 hard shell tacos. You would like to think, their goof would be on them. But alas, no... they charged me for the 2 I didn't order, plus the 4 more. Luckily, I had a Restaurant.com coupon for $10 off. So, instead of insisting they take off the 2 tacos, I ate the check, minus the $10 off. I think it's important to have servers who are attentive and understand English. But Mega Burrito failed on the last regard, when I tried to explain the mistakes. I ordered in clear Spanish, but she still messed things up. The food was meh. So, no more Mega for us. read more

Terrible place!! Don't not eat at this place! After a very long day & extremely hungry. I decided to order their pollo asada package with rice and beans. As I got home, I found a roach in my beans!! I went back to the restaurant & I didn't even get a refund. Not even partial payment back. They just changed the beans & called it a day. Unbelievable!!! Terrible place !! Very disgusted. Place does not even deserve 1 star. read more

If you're looking for authentic, this is it. It's a dive, and that's usually how you can tell it's going to be legit. Prices were decent (plus, they had a coupon). Service was decent, but might be tough for someone that does not speak Spanish is many of the servers were not fluent in English. Again, not a bad thing, just adds to the authenticity. My only disappointment was due to my own fault. Authentic Mexican cuisine isn't very vegetarian friendly, so I should have known there would be limited options. I was still able to find some tasty fajitas though. Delish and big enough for 3 meals! read more

I ordered three beef burritos to-go, and they were, without a doubt, the worst burritos I've ever had. They were completely flavorless, packed with an overwhelming amount of rice, and the beef was tough and filled with fatty pieces. I had high expectations based on the restaurant's reputation, but my experience with their food was extremely disappointing. read more

A family vacation isn't complete without trying out the local restaurants and Mega Burrito didn't disappoint! Sophia was a fantastic waitress. She was very helpful, answered all our questions, and, BONUS, she played along with our weirdness. Prices were on point for the food, however, the menu doesn't state that the $2.25 sodas will be either cans or bottles. We got waters from Sophia, so we were content with our hydration. The food was amazing. Loved the complimentary chips and salsa. I opted out of what I thought was super spicy salsa, but, I'm a wimp and the kids and hubs downed it. Excluding the four enchiladas combo, the portions were huge! I'm not a huge fan of beans, these were pretty awesome! Just FYI, the sandwich comes with refried beans on it which is not stated in the menu description. I definitely recommend trying Mega Burrito. As another reviewer stated, it looks a little sketchy on the outside, but, don't let that deter you! Happy eating Yelpers! read more

Good service. Food is great and at a great price. Came to visit from out of town and wanted Mexican food (being from LA ) the name through me off and wasn't gonna go but I'm glad I did. I ordered the molcajete and wow !!! Ended up coming back 4 days later bring my in laws and family. Order 3 molcajete and it fed 8 of us. Food is great. Interior is out dated but has that great "hole in the wall " atmosphere and the food did not disappoint! read more

I came here for the first time because I seen an ad on Facebook. At first the food looked good but the ribs were hard and chewy. I returned them and they gave me a ribeye. It was nice and tender. And the chicken my boyfriend got was good too. The salsa was really good and the service beside being a little slow. It was good. She brought us everything we needed. Overall it was a good place to have nice quiet dinner. read more

We were looking for authentic Mexican and craving tacos. This place looked perfect. We ordered two margaritas and three tacos each. The service was good. The tacos were authentic and good. The margaritas were not. They were lime green and had no taste but mix. Then we got our check. 6 tacos were $18. Two terrible margaritas were $26. They charged $13 a margarita! Absolutely ridiculous pricing for terrible margaritas much less a good one. I'd go there again for the food, but I'll never order another margarita for $13. Complete joke. I can get a good margarita from a nicer place for $5-7. Again, good food, authentic, but how do you charge $13 for a schooner of bad margarita? Sorry, bad experience. read more

This place is a gem. The place where the locals eat. The server the very pleasant. She described each plate accurately, spicy, big portions, which made selecting an entree easier. The alcoholic drink was well prepared and a nice presentation. The shrimp was delicious. The sample platter was amazing. The green hot sauce was tasty and hot someone mentioned the chips are very crunchy; yes, they are. Someone mentioned the parking was challenging; yes, it is. All well worth it for a nice, tasty meal. read more

THIS PLACE IS THE REAL DEAL. look no further, there is finally a place that serves delicious and authentic Mexican food in this area. I love love love Mexican food but normally have to travel well out of the area to our favorite spots around florida to get Mexican food that we actually like. The outside looks a little shady but dont be scared go inside to find a beautiful restaurant with handpainted murals inside that are amazing. we were waited on by a very sweet lady named Kimberly who was just wonderful. She was very patient and good with our child. The house salsa they put out was excellent. A little spicey and full of flavor. Then the meals. My wife had her chimichangas and she said they were the best she ever had. I tasted and agreed. I got the burritos divorciado and it was just perfect. Everything is fresh and made to order. I cant wait to go back and try other items on the diverse menu. Prices are reasonable for the quality they provide read more
