Pad Ka Paow with a spring roll - $19
R. M.

Was very excited to try this new spot, both the bowl of noodles and the bowl of rice are $20... straight up Custie prices... we got the Rice bowl with a spring roll and it was 19... tasty, but very spicy with no warning... overall, not impressed and over priced for rice and noodles.... Won't be back sadly...

Hidden gem! Will definitely be back! It was everything we wanted after eating heavy food all week on vacation. Fresh ingredients, all food made to order. Excellent service. Nice little picnic/seating areas outside as well. Enjoyed the Buddha bowl with tofu, soup and spring rolls. All delicious!

However, the service is spotty and the wait for food is ridiculous. This time, we had a 6:00 pm reservation. We ordered our appetizer and main course at the same time. The main courses also include a salad. I ordered a coke zero and my husband wanted a regular coke. This is the third time that he wanted one and they've been out of regular coke. How the heck do run out of coke... especially since they don't serve alcohol. We finally got our appetizer, the lumpia, which by the way is delicious, 45 minutes later. The salad finally came out 20 minutes later. We asked the waiter about the main course. He said he checked with the kitchen and they said in five minutes. 15 minutes later still waiting. Looking around we noticed that almost every table is dealing with the same issue. Honestly as much as I love the food...I doubt we will be back.

The interior is quite spacious with plenty of sunlight, and even when we left it wasn't very busy for a Sunday around lunchtime. I ordered drunken noodles with steamed tofu and left pleased. The server didn't ask me for spice level, but it definitely had a kick to it, which I appreciated. The duck noodle soup sounded like it'd be a great, unique dish - but the duck is probably best left to dry noodle dishes, where it can remain crispy. In the soup, the duck lost its texture and flavor. The other classics that the group ordered (deluxe pad thai, chicken pad see ew) were all satisfactory.

I ordered the Crispy Duck Massaman Curry (gluten-free) with potatoes, carrots, onions, and peanuts. The portion size was excellent and the flavors were tangy and comforting, though I wish the peanut flavor was a bit stronger. I ordered level 4 spice and should have gone with a 5. If you like heat, I recommend at least a level 5. I am very particular about duck since it is easy to dry out, but this was crispy yet still moist, which impressed me. It was a bit pricey at $27.95, but understandable for duck. The waitress was delightful and the restaurant was clean and welcoming. I will definitely return.

The pad thai was the worst I've had, and I've had quite a few..I think it has ketchup in the sauce :( Speaking of ketchup, that's the sauce that came with my "chicken fingers".. which were not chicken fingers, they appeared to be two cut up Tyson patties (in strips). Just really odd overall and not very good. The main chicken dishes had those funky pieces of chicken meat that you can't swallow. The crispy roll and sushi roll were ok. On a positive note, the people are friendly. Maybe you need to know what's good here and it would be worth it..but we did not experience any of those items unfortunately. I don't know if we'll try them again.

A true Lakes Region gem -- don't let the location fool you!…read moreLemongrass may be tucked off the main road in Moultonborough, but it's an absolute classic in the area and one of those places we always make a point to visit when we're in New Hampshire. It's not flashy -- the décor is a bit dated -- but the food? Utterly fantastic. Owners Luncky and Wu clearly put their hearts into every dish, and it shows. The quality, care, and consistency here are rare to find. One of my personal favorites is the seared ahi tuna from the appetizer menu -- it's so good, I usually have to order two because one just isn't enough for our family! The fish of the day, often featuring haddock, is another highlight -- light, flavorful, and expertly prepared every time. My husband swears by the seafood curry, which is rich, fragrant, and packed with flavor. The service is just as impressive as the food. Their bartender, Cristine, is a local legend -- she's known my in-laws for decades and still remembers exactly how my mother-in-law likes her Blue Orchid cocktail. No need to order -- it just appears, perfectly made. That kind of personal touch is what makes Lemongrass feel so special. And don't skip dessert -- the white chocolate crème brûlée is a standout. You won't find that just anywhere, and it's absolutely worth saving room for. Lemongrass is more than a restaurant -- it's a beloved part of our Lakes Region tradition, and we can't imagine a trip to NH without it.
