He added things to my medical report stating he discussed things he did not discuss or even brought to my attention. Talk about feeling like I went to Walmart to see a doctor. I will be calling HF to warn them about this and updating my fellow community members. I had to return to the office almost 2 weeks later to retrieve a transportation letter when he should have just been honest and said he was not aware of said letter and how to request it. He exited the room 2 times leaving me alone longer than he spoke with me about my concerns. Looked as if he was googling my symptoms right in front of me. He didn't even allow me to finish addressing all of my concerns before just sending me off for bloodwork. ACPNY should not have doctors seeing patients if they are not sure how things properly work and even more so when they don't know how to communicate or treat patients. And after speaking with him on the phone today I feel even more insulted and 5 times more concerned about my health than before meeting with him. I will be seeking a new Primary Care doctor and I suggest anyone seeing this so called doctor look for a doctor that won't make you feel like your just visiting a factory. And please note I called customer service 2 times to speak with someone regarding my concerns I even walked in to speak with a supervisor and no one has gotten back to me. Clearly they don't care about anything but billing your health insurance.

This is a couple months overdue, but want to share since finding a good primary care physician can…read morebe challenging. Unfortunately, this is not a review to say that you have found one. I went to this office when I was having some GI symptoms back in November. To begin, I knew that they needed to perform a basic lab test and when I needed to provide the sample during the 45 minute wait, they brushed it off. Then when they took my vitals, I asked what they were, and the MA refused to tell me, only saying that "the doctor would tell me," which only added to my stress. Upon meeting with the NP, she was not inclined to discuss my symptoms or potential causes, instead kept snapping at me b/c I was anxious. She interrupted my visit to have me talk to a social worker b/c I was anxious(which, after having symptoms for over two weeks is pretty normal) who basically accused me of seeking out antianxiety meds. I'm a nurse-all I wanted to do was be informed about my medical condition(including my vitals) I never asked for anxiety meds! Their behavior was making me more anxious! In any case, I followed through with an outpatient ultrasound and awaited my lab results. When the labs returned that I had an infection in my stomach on a weekend, I waited for them to call me on Monday to inform me and prescribed antibiotics. I gave them until 12 and proceeded to call them multiple times. When I finally reached Dr Myers, she snapped at me that she hadn't seen me, and that I needed an endoscopy. I asked her if she was going to be prescribing antibiotics, since she could CLEARLY SEE that I had an infection, and that this what was needed. She refused and said, "I'm not giving you anything, you need to go to a gastroenterologist." I pointed out that not treating a medical condition that she had results for was malpractice, and she hung up on me. I did seek out medical care elsewhere, and was prescribed the medication that was required for that infection, which (surprise, surprise) resolved. However, even months later, this experience horrifies me. Dr. Myers violated the first rule of practicing physicians-"First, do No Harm." How could a physician refuse to treat an infection? My treatment was delayed by several days due to the office not notifying me of my results, and her not prescribing antibiotics. I ended up taking my labwork to CityMD, who had NO PROBLEM prescribing the medication that I needed BASED ON THE LAB RESULTS. My advice would be if you need a general checkup for work/school and this is the ONLY place that your insurance will cover...I would still go somewhere else. It's New York City-she's not the only option! If, God forbid, you actually have a medical issue that requires evaluation and treatment, RUN past this place and go to ANY OTHER doctor. Go to the ED if you have to. You have a better shot of getting treatment from your dog than you do from Dr. Myers and her team.

The Dr.'s at this practice, Dr. Myers and Dr. Sargeant are two of the nicest doctors I have…read morevisited. I was patient of Dr. Myers for years before she needed assistance with her overflow and transferred me to Dr. Sargeant. I have had increased medical activity recently and noticed that Dr. Sargeant over-looked quite a few red flags that needed to be brought to my attention. As a result, I have since moved on to a new practice and have been met with extremely unprofessionalism in trying to gain copies of my medical records. The front office staff of this practice is comprised of a bunch of unambitious women who's only goal at work is to leave once their shift is complete. They are unprofessional, rude and a few of them are actually smokers which I find odd, especially since they take cigarette breaks in front of the practice. If you are in need of having medical forms filled out or basic (BASIC) medical attention and don't mind having to visit an over crowded, unprofessional office, you will have no problem here. But if you are looking for a dr. who will actually pay attention to, not only what is on your chart, but to what you're actually saying when speaking to him, this isn't the place. So funny, the last time I was in Dr. Sargeant's office he had me sit for a minute while he continued reading CNN online. whatever

This office does not take covid safety seriously. At all…read more I only went here because he was automatically assigned as my PCP through Medicaid. For the record, I never actually ended up seeing Dr. Ponieman, I ended up with Dr. Torres for some reason. For my first appt I waited an hour to be seen in an overcrowded tiny waiting room, absolutely no room for social distancing. Some people waiting had masks under their noses. No effort from reception staff to enforce proper mask wearing. Both women working at reception had masks on their chins. Technically the front desk is in another room and you talk to them through a glass window, but still a terrible covid precaution for a health practice. When I finally saw the doctor I said I wanted a covid test in addition to what I was there for (physical and some rx refills) and he said okay. I get sent back to the waiting area to wait to be called in for blood work. After my blood work is finished I ask about the covid test and she tells me they don't do the tests there. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Last but not least, even though the prescriptions I needed were pretty basic things I've been on for years, I was required to come in for a follow up to review the blood work before he would fill them for me. The waiting room was empty this time, although the PA was talking with someone with the door open, both of them with masks pulled down. I don't recall if this happened the first time or not, but Dr. Torres was unable to keep his mask above his nose. As he spoke, it kept sliding down and he'd pull it back up. This happened at least six times in a ten minute time frame. This is a doctor, almost a year into a pandemic, and we still don't know how to wear masks that fit correctly??? Reception also left the enclosed area with mask on her chin to throw out her Dunkin' Donuts garbage in the patient waiting area. Highly doubt there's not a trash can under the front desk. Never returning to this office.

Do you think it's fair or plausible that it is now 9:50 am and I am STILL here waiting to be seen??? Upon check in, I was informed that there were 5 people in front of me, all scheduled within a 10 minute window from each other. Ridiculous! I have asked for an update and there is still 1 person in front of me, also waiting to be seen. I have other commitments and engagements I have to attend to today. This is a terrible waste of my time!! A routine dental cleaning should not have taken up my entire morning, and yet it has. I have had this experience one too many times here and I am the foolish one that continues to come back because I am hopeful that you will get it together one day. Frankly, this location is convenient for me because it is walking distance from my house. Even so, I dread coming here because my experience is always the same. If you cannot keep your appointments, don't give them, simple. Stop wasting your patients' time, energy and patience. This is ridiculous and unacceptable. I've complained more times than I can count and I've left you a terrible review on Google. Nothing has changed. Get it together.
