After researching online, I came across Dr. Sarah Rose's name when I did an online search. I was pleasantly surprised how close this practice is to my office. It's a 10 minute walk or two minute drive. Also, the office is pretty fancy with their coffee, tea, hot chocolate machine. I had to ask for assistance. This is the second doctor's office that I've gone to that is this fancy. Dr. Rose was gentle, which I appreciated as I hate all wellness exams that require any physical contact or pressure. She was also kind, patient, and thorough in her response and explanations. I am so happy to have found Dr. Rose and this practice.

She truly cared--she followed up herself, worked tirelessly for her patients & even called to remind you about your annual appointments. That kind of genuine care is long gone. My experience over the last two years has been terrible. Since they expanded, it's like they completely forgot how to treat their patients. They don't remember anything from prior visits, there's barely any follow-through & everything feels rushed & impersonal. Now, they've added insult to injury by announcing that they're going to start charging patients for basic services--things we can't even do ourselves. Even something as simple as a prescription refill feels like you're bothering the nurse or PA. It's crystal clear: they don't care about patient well-being anymore, they just care about squeezing more money out of you. And to top it all off, they had the nerve to send out this email announcing the new fees--while shamelessly promoting their extra services at the bottom. As if we'd want to pay for even more after being told we'll now be charged for the basics. The lack of self-awareness is shocking. I even went back & removed the 5-star review I once left. This office is not what it used to be--it's become disorganized, disconnected & profit-driven. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone anymore.

She proved herself talking to herself or worrying about the need to move to the next patient... she jammed a large spectrum into me, without warning made me bleed for 24 hours, and caused more than 7 days of real pain. She also covered up her uncaring, brute mannerism, by telling a senior doctor that she did use a small spectrum, but glossed over and left out that I screamed out in pain telling her no one has ever been that brutal-- and it felt like like I was raped. This is immoral behavior, uncaring, heavy handed like a brute...she should retire to a desk job.

Social distant chairs in the waiting room. Was able to be seen about 30 minutes after arriving and filling out paperwork. I had to ask for a Flu test since my Covid test was negative. Would have thought they would have done this to also rule out flu but they came right in and performed that test. Took some tylenol as prescribed there and was feeling 50% better before the night was over.

We were quite sure Medstar wouldn't want me sitting in their waiting room, especially since there was no question of the diagnosis, and we were right. They referred us to their E-visit option. Shortly we received a sign-in text and started the process. It was much like filling out the information form for a visit at the facility. We had a couple of glitches, mostly our fault, but got signed in. Soon a screen popped up telling me that I was "in the waiting room and there were two patients ahead of me." It was nice to sit on my own couch, sipping coffee and cuddling with my puppy while I waited. It wasn't long before Opal signed in and we started our visit. Opal went over my meds and warned me of some interactions to look for when I started the Plaxlovid. Sure enough my blood pressure fluctuated and I had to adjust my bp meds. I was really impressed with the thoroughness of the visit, how pleasant Opal was, and how easy the whole process was.

When I called to make the appointment the receptionist was very pleasant and tried to get me an appointment relatively quickly, but I explained my condition is chronic so no rush. The day before my appointment I received a reminder call asking that I arrive 30 minutes before my appointment time for new patient registration. Well, now I know why. A lot of pages of forms to fill out regarding my health history, insurance, and pain measurement assessment. The front desk employees were pleasant and I was called back by my physical therapist on time. He was very thorough and professional, and even chuckled at some of my lame jokes. Based on my doctor's assessment and his physical findings, he started me on some exercises with more to follow. So out comes my dusty exercise mat, but at least my visit to NRH physical therapy was relatively easy.

She can seem distracted by her bedside manner of speaking at her computer which is transcribing her words. If you can get her to be undistracted she will talk and explain and readily admit if she is not expert in an "area". I do think her main focus is diabetics. I am seeing her for my Hypoactive thyroid and will continue to do so. Her office help is nice but not always very helpful and sometimes one of them seems overwhelmed. She even helped me find a good one. Then, when an appointment opened up, she called me and booked the appointment for me at Ortho Bethesda. Stacey, you are an angel. I went to see Dr. Gazdag and he was wonderful. He was funny and an excellent professional. We took more X-rays, so if you see a light in Rockville, it is just me glowing at night. I am in a boot and a cane, but no surgery needed. Amen! The people who work with Dr. Gazdag and Ortho Bethesda were awesome. They were very nice and helpful. I got great care and I have respect for the office. And, thank you, Stacey for making sure I was taken care of.

Finally found one and booked at a location and time that fit my schedule. GREAT. Then 4 hours late comes the phone call. It is there office policy to change a $50 Annual Fee just to be a part of the practice. I asked what the fee was for. I was explained it was NOT covered by insurance (Yeah, I figured that out when you called and said "Administrative Fee", Thanks.) "It is just our office policy to charge this fee". I inquired about what it was for, exactly. (I was wondering if it covered things like the lab work and any extra test they may deem necessary in the treatment of a problem or maybe even a 24/7 type service for any possible emergency questions, things like that I would have been ok with, if they were phenomenal, but nope... ,"It's for any paperwork, forms to fill out and referrals" Huh? "Well, I don't need any of those services"... "It's our office policy" OK. Great. Maybe you should include that in you listing on the insurance sites, your patient portal sites and on the Front Page of your website. That is a ridiculous policy. I work in the medical field. I know how to bill insurance and what is covered. I even understand the frustration of that from your side, but, that is not a good enough reason to drive potential customers away. It's just bad customer service. You should be showing these fees on front page of website and on any insurance sites or just say you are not accepting new patients so you don't waste anyone's time. Why would anyone pay this ridiculous fee and their copay just for a typical annual exam?
