I've experienced it once a few years ago and havent found an acupuncturist since. Well, I am so happy to have found this place. Dr Ko uses variety of techniques and methods that have helped me the both times I went to see him. On my first visit, I had numbness on my right side of my head, Dr Ko recommended herbal medicine along with acupuncture therapy as my organs were out of Chi with poor circulation due to extreme stress last year that resulted in neglect of my health. I had doubts, I wasn't sure if the treatments were going to help. I didn't feel a difference after the first treatment. After the second treatment, the numbness went away! I didnt think the numbess would go away after the second treatment as acupuncture usually takes a few treatment to get good result. Even Dr Ko said i needed like 5 therapy, but he was wrong! Maybe he doesn't realize how good he is! Haha. The second visit was last week when I woke up with severe pain and stiffness on my neck & back. I could not turn my head nor move my upper body. So I returned to him once again. Per Dr Ko, my spine had twisted in my cervical and thoracic region due to cold and rainy weather lately. This happened to me during covid and it took a few acupuncture therapies to find relief. The acupuncturist i saw at that time only used needles. But Dr Ko utilizes tuina therapy that got me almost fully recovered with 1 treatment. I got treated last Saturday, and everyday my symptoms are improving. Now I can move my neck and back. I am back to almost normal! Ive seen many acupuncturist during the last 11years due to back and neck pain but Dr Ko has the most gentle pain free but effective hands. His price is very reasonable for the treatment he provides. I am thankful to have met Dr Ko who is gifted in healing.

Kim since April after having been in a big snow mobile accident at the beginning of the year, which left me with 4 broken ribs and 2nd degree ac joint injury. I had very limited mobility and range of motion in my left arm. I could hardly lift up my arm and I had a lot of pain with using my left arm. I tried out three Acupuncture offices before finally coming to this place by recommendation. When I came to the clinic in April I couldn't use my arm to put in my contacts nor lift my arm to tie my hair. However, after 1 month of seeing Dr. Kim, I was able to finally tie my hair, which was great progress for me. I've been continuing now for 6 months and have improved to 95%. I still have a bit of stiffness in my arm but my range of motion from the needles, massage, stem and Dr Yong Kim's precise stretching methods have improved my condition greatly and I am forever thankful. The massage from Jenny is divine as well and I book one hour massage sessions with her from time to time to really get in that arm to breakup the scar tissue. I've already introduced this gem to a few other people, but the front staff is also so helpful and great, I look forward every week!

Started feeling suspicious over this establishment after a car accident in the summer of 2018 because they took my medical information from my car insurance provider for my mother and I. Although I had missed a couple appointments due to my work and son's school schedule, they mentioned a couple times that the medical insurance was no longer valid. Came in on Friday May 17th for my 3:30pm appointment which was set a couple days prior. The receptionist was not there to greet me and waited over 10 minutes to be treated by a male acupuncturist whom I've never met before. I asked him if he had read my chart since I was always comfortable being Dr. Kim's patient. He almost walked in on me as I was still getting undressed which made me feel uncomfortable and once I was ready told him my left ankle has been sprained for over 10 years and was dealing with sciatica on my right lower back. He was incredibly aggressive with the needles which he placed all over my right buttock which was a completely different from what I had experienced before then placed the electrical pulses on my sciatic needles and had to ask him politely to lower the range. Asked him politely to place needles on my shoulders yet he started massaging me which again made me feel completely uncomfortable. He kept leaving the room a couple times to tend to other older Korean patients which was rude and inconsiderate. Once finally returning to "tend" to me he started heating up the cupping all over my buttocks and asked politely asked him to cup my shoulders in which he replied with "Why?" In which I responded with "Becuase I have poor circulation" so he did and once again left the room to tend to his other 2 or 3 patients. When returning again he uncupped my body and placed medical tape around my ankle and told me to keep it on for 2 days and asked him " How am I suppose to shower?" In which his response was "You can". At the end of my session realized he didn't take his time and as he waited for me at the front desk told him exactly how I felt that I was not happy with his treatment that he was more attentive to his other patients in which he replied " Some patients were late" and told him " I was not late since punctuality is important". He told me he was the owner of this clinic so I told him how are we going to handle this discrepancy? So he did not charge me $50. Once returning home my ankle felt worse than before and noticed bruises on my buttocks from his aggressive technique in which I was in extreme pain and still am. Never will I ever return to this clinic after the traumatizing treatment I experienced from the owner of this establishment. Should have known better because after an accident in early 2017 the man who rear ended my mom's car with my toddler son in the back tried suing my mother's Allstate insurance for 16K and surprise surprise which clinic did he attend to... During the first appointment, she took her time and explained 2 theories as to why my sinuses have been inflamed for so long (I have been suffering from sinus issues for 6 years consistently seen my allergist, thinking it was just allergies). I am also an advanced practice nurse so I am very picky yet critical on the information I receive. I liked that she explained thoroughly the root cause of the issue and provided education on how the connective tissues, nerve endings, and muscular structures were involved with the root cause before my treatment. I have been to 3 treatments so far and I am proud to say I no longer have sinus congestion. Now Dr. Kim and I, as a team, are focusing on the other structures that have been affected. For example, She has given me exercises to complete at home and dietary changes to try as my spleen is low functioning. Based on my experience and my passion for evidence-based practice, I highly recommend Dr. Kim for acupuncture. You have to be diligent with your own body and practice the recommendations she suggests. Add these changes to your lifestyle routine. [For those who do not understand TCM, I suggest asking many questions and educating yourselves in whichever platform that best fits you. I am a visual audio learner, so YouTube is my favorite platform. In addition, reading peer reviewed articles from reliable sources such as healthline. ] [Also, cupping my leave discoloration due to ecchymosis, secondary to the suction sensation from the cup and NO it does not hurt, and it is not at all aggressive. You can always request to not have it as a part of your treatment if you feel uncomfortable and Healing tree will make the appropriate adjustments. Again, I highly suggest reviewing literature about TCM and learning before agreeing to treatment.] Remember, you are the spokesperson and chief of your body . Treat it well and you will benefit. Your health is your wealth. Thank you Healing Tree for helping me overcome my state of misery- sinus congestion.
