They failed to send my prescription to the pharmacy. Three times. Despite claiming they had done it. Not what you want when feeling sick.

I wanted to give a big shoutout to this CityMD! Honestly, if my PCP hadn't been available, I…read morewouldn't have known what to do I probably would've called Teladoc. He's usually open every day until around 7, but due to one of the Jewish holidays, he was closed. I say all this because I've had bad experiences at other urgent cares before. They'd tell me to grab something over the counter or "follow up with your PCP," and I'd end up wasting a $30-$40 copay for advice I'd already tried. This visit was completely different. The check-in process was quick, the wait time was reasonable, and the front desk staff was genuinely kind and attentive. NP Tammy was incredible she made me feel seen, heard, and cared for. Her bedside manner was so comforting, and the level of care felt just like seeing my regular PCP. If you're looking for an urgent care that actually listens, provides real treatment, and won't make you feel rushed, I highly recommend this location!

More Like CityPA: Disappointing, Incomplete, and a Waste of Time…read more I went to CityMD Park Slope and checked in using the QR code. That part was smooth and efficient. Unfortunately, everything after that fell short. The Medical Assistant who brought me in barely engaged with me--no warmth, no empathy, and just completely dead in tone and demeanor. She said, "The doctor will be right in," but instead a Physician Assistant came in, with no explanation or clarification. That was misleading. The PA, a male provider, was courteous but not thorough. He quickly flashed a light in my mouth, didn't use a tongue depressor, and didn't perform a proper examination. He didn't check my ears, eyes, or mouth properly. Despite that, he prescribed antibiotics without verifying whether my illness was bacterial. They swabbed me for strep which was negative and sent out a throat culture. What would have also been helpful is to rule out a viral infection, so a respiratory PCR panel should have also been ordered. That way if it came back positive, I would not needlessly start antibiotics that would not work. My illness turned out to be viral, so the antibiotics were not only unnecessary but also completely ineffective. That decision showed a lack of clinical diligence and wasted valuable time. I ended up following up with my primary care physician today who took the time to do a full evaluation and immediately noticed an issue in my throat that the PA had missed. My PCP was able to give me a proper diagnosis and appropriate care--something that should have happened at CityMD. It's incredibly frustrating to go to a facility expecting medical expertise and leave with poor care and more questions than answers. If there are no MDs available to review or confirm treatment decisions, then calling it CityMD is misleading. Be transparent and call it CityPA if that's who patients are going to see. Just a reminder to folks, your insurance likely pays for you to be seen by the MD so insist on it. In my experience, PA's are valuable team members for patient care but they often miss the mark when they assess you alone so you're better off seeing the MD to follow up after them. I won't be returning. Next time, I'll go straight to my own doctor from the start and I suggest everyone try to do the same.

I got a call from the office, while I was sitting in the patient room waiting for the dr, asking me to come back to the office because I left? A few days later I got a voicemail that they forgot to do a blood test, can I come back? No thanks... Today I got a letter that I owed $500 because they never billed my insurance. The female doctor was knowledgeable and professional and told me the truth. I took her advice and thereafter slept like a baby. On this occasion, a year later, the experience was even better!. The doctor (I believe it's Dr. Grinko) is no magician/charlatan (I've met some of those! They look into your eyes, then at your palms and prescribe medications!). She sent me for the tests I expected and even those I never thought of. This doctor is thorough and tells it like it is. The environment is, for me, homely. If you're looking for a stuffy, black suit, well-sanitized (not in a sense of cleanliness, but ... emotional?) ambiance - this may not be the place for you. Here, although my blood pressure was high, I felt very relaxed. I even shared a few laughs with other patients! I highly, highly recommend Proxi medical for any urgent care.

I have been visiting the Crown Heights location for approximately 2 years beginning under Statcare…read more I changed my primary care physician to Dr. Chahal who has given excellent treatment. The desk staff was friendlier under Statcare the new staff are mostly fine but one employee after seeing my NYS Driver Licebse, walks away with it and refuse to give it back before she can confirm my appointment with my primart care physician. My treatment remains the same but one new employee and the new website under Nao Medical have been less than optimal. The old site had issues but this site will not allow me to pre-register; it does not provide appointment information but patients now suffer intolerable phone calls where caller follows a script and will not answer questions that are not on on the script they read from. I have since received bills for something I am not aware of. I have received no special treatment only what I have received in the past yet I am receiving bills. The most recent I believe is $836.00 which makes no sense. The old patient portal had difficulties but at least it was helpful this new system is all about billing period. I may likely have to take legal action against this fraudulent billing practice.

When I arrived at 9:00 AM, the…read morefacility was closed, and patients--including those seeking urgent care--were left waiting outside in the cold. The door wasn't opened until 9:06 AM. Even after the facility opened, the morning continued to feel disorganized. I wasn't able to fully check in until 9:15 AM, and at that point, the doctor still had not arrived for the start of clinic hours. I waited until 9:30 AM, but the doctor still had not shown up, so I left. By then, 30 minutes had passed since my scheduled appointment time, and I refused to wait any longer. Thankfully, this was only a follow-up visit and I did not need urgent treatment. But the experience was extremely disappointing--especially for a facility that advertises itself as serving patients in immediate need of care. Leaving patients outside in the cold and starting the day late without clinicians onsite is unacceptable for a healthcare provider, particularly one offering urgent care. I hope Nao Medical improves its morning operations, staffing punctuality, and patient experience. Right now, it's falling far short.
