Being a St. Louis native, I have been reluctant to trust new "professionals" in the area simply because we don't know anyone.... Well, now I know who to recommend in the roofing industry!! With the storms of recent, our gutter and fascia board separated from our house and needed to be fixed. We were referred to Elite Roofing & Siding by our Realtor who said they did awesome work. From the initial phone call to the in-person service, I had the pleasure of working with Matt, Darren & Daryl. When you can't reach one, the other swiftly stepped-in and provided excellent customer service! In regard to the actual repair, I couldn't be more pleased with the outcome! Daryl is a professional by nature. His overall skill and efficiency was illustrated within minutes of being on our roof. Within no time, our house was restored and Daryl was on to the next! Asked for an estimate on a metal roof. Showed up to look at it and a week later no estimate. I…read morecalled to get it and they referred me to the estimater like he was not in contact with them. After a couple days and 4 phone calls I got an estimate for asphalt shingles. I replied that the estimate I wanted was for metal, but to disregard because I was going with another company. Immediately I got a text from Jerry who apologized and said not to blame the company because it was his fault. I again said I was going with another company. He acknowledged, but then left me a voicemail like we had never talked or most likely he forgot that he sent out a estimate. Again wrong estimate and didn't even remember speaking to me. Seems very disorganized. If an estimate is that difficult, I cant imagine how the whole roofing process would go.

However, in 2018 I noticed a dip in the floor around the refrigerator. I made calls to companies who had originally done the foundation and insulation work, with no response. I reached out to several other contractors that worked in my area. They either did not show up or told me to just keep an eye on the problem. Then I got in touch with J&M Remodeling. One of the owners, Jeff Braswell, came to review the issues. Jeff was very professional from the start. After a thorough assessment he had some not so good news. The prior work that was done was only to cover up rotten foundation beams. Insulation was sprayed over rotten beams. I had paid to just have problems covered up not repaired. It was an expensive lesson, but I feel so fortunate to have found Jeff and his team do the repairs. The floor and foundation had to be replaced. Once they started, they found several other issues that he suggested we take care of before they would become a problem, which I agreed. Walls and studs needed to be replaced. Their knowledge, professionalism and craftsmanship amazed me. But it was more than that, that impressed me. They all went out of their way and added special touches to put this project over the top. They moved light switches to more convenient heights, they painted areas of the house they didn't even work in to make sure everything matched and blended in. Everything was seamless. My house was cleaner after they finished that it ever was before the remodel. As a senior citizen, I need people and companies I can rely upon. I feel as if that is what I found in J&M Remodeling.
