It's apparent how much preparation she does before meeting with clients, as her readings are detailed, accurate and full of information you'll think about well after your session has ended. She also provides an mp3 recording to let you review those ah-ahs moments that pop up throughout your time with her. What I like the most is how wonderfully articulate she is when describing what lies ahead for me. She is an astute interpreter of how the position of the planets affects my life. When she does a reading for me, not all the information she shares comes up rosy. The mark of an excellent astrologer is to tell the truth and to do so with compassion. That's what Dianne does. I am grateful for her expertise and the insights she shares. I recommend her highly.

Extraordinary Insight, Wisdom, and Integrity…read more I have worked with Joy Pedersen for several years, and her wisdom, compassion, and insight continue to astound me. Joy brings a rare combination of deep spiritual awareness, emotional intelligence, and grounded practical wisdom. At pivotal moments in my life and work, she has helped me step back from overwhelm and see the larger pattern unfolding--often with remarkable clarity and accuracy. Her guidance consistently helps illuminate both what is happening in the present and the emerging possibilities ahead. What makes Joy truly exceptional is her integrity and respect for personal agency. She never tries to control your path or position herself as someone who "fixes" things for you. Instead, she helps clear confusion, identify unseen dynamics, and reconnect you with your own inner wisdom so you can move forward with confidence and alignment. Her insight has supported me not only personally but also professionally as I develop a mission-driven initiative serving autistic nonspeaking adults and their families. Joy has an extraordinary ability to combine intuitive perception with strategic clarity, helping you see both the deeper purpose of your work and the practical next steps needed to bring it into reality. In a field where guidance can sometimes feel abstract or disconnected from real life, Joy stands out for her ability to bridge spiritual insight with grounded, thoughtful, real-world perspective. She brings compassion, wisdom, and an expansive view of the future while remaining deeply attuned to the realities of the present. Working with Joy has been consistently encouraging, clarifying, and empowering. If you are seeking a guide who combines spiritual depth, high emotional intelligence, and practical wisdom while honoring your own sovereignty, Joy Pedersen is truly exceptional. Highly recommended.

i did therapy with Laura from 2022-2023. Laura was a good bridge for my mental health but…read moreunfortunately, over time, I found her to lack the level of integrity and sincerity I hold myself to and seek in another, especially a trained, professional therapist. She inserted her opinions several times without my asking, including her views on religion, politics, and even made statements about me or family members, rather than posing questions from a place of collaboration and curiosity, allowing the client to draw their own conclusion. When I confronted her about this she consistently gaslit me, "I apologize you feel...", which anyone off the street knows that is NOT an apology but an evasive way to side-step accountability of an irresponsible and potentially dangerous approach to conducting therapy. Over time the sessions felt more and more cookie cutter and I sensed how she was not present. I addressed this with her and nothing changed. When I broached this again, noting that when I started with her she assured me she works with highly sensitive individuals, like me, her response was, "Unfortunately, my brain does multi-task and that is not something I can correct. If I am sitting with you and hear the garbage truck, my brain may go to "I wonder if the kids took out the garbage." While I wear noise-dampening headphones in sessions to reduce distractions, the reality is I could be in an isolation chamber and my brain would try to make connections. Again, I can see where that would present as multi-tasking, and apologize that it felt like I was not in tune with you." Again, read between the lines: "I apologize you feel...". No accountability. Annnnd no genuine remorse. I also had a really bad moment and I reached out to her and she did not respond at all; I followed up and she made up an excuse, "I read your text between clients, responded and forgot to hit send." This was the 2nd time she flaked but I kept forgiving her and being understanding. Finally, her approach is very friendly but she equally comes off as compartmentalized/not warm and I can count on one hand the number of questions she asked me in over 9 months of therapy (she was not genuinely curious about me/my life). Her excuse? "I have to keep therapeutic boundaries." One thing I have learned is People Don't Change if they cannot see the problem. The same goes for therapists. Save your $ and find a therapist with a backbone and who you can know in your bones cares by the manner with which they conduct therapy.

My partner and I were seeking counseling and made contact with Gail. Initially she seemed…read morewonderful. Then we had our first session. Gail perpetually interrupted my partner and myself, attempting to complete our sentences, talking over us, and generally talking more about herself than we had the opportunity to talk about our relationship. At every opportunity, mid sentence Gail would comment how she too has experienced X,Y, and Z. Gail made insulting assumptions about my character, my education based on information I shared with her. She will talk over you, she will not let you complete your thoughts or sentences. It makes it very difficult to address couples issues when the therapist won't let you complete a thought and insert their own narrative, instead of listening to the story of your relationship to move forward in a better direction. Update 2/23/2025: I have not seen Gail or been in contact with her since our initial appointment on January 25th. However she called me on February 20th emphasizing that she was "disgusted in me as a human being." Then proceeded to explain how her years of experience and credentials certainly make her a great therapist. She went on to state how upset she was that I gave her a one star review. She concluded the message by stating "You are in trouble by the way!" In a threatening tone It is considered inappropriate, unprofessional but more importantly highly unethical for a therapist to contact past clients for personal reasons such as leaving a poor review Here's a photo of the transcript of the VM it's not perfect but you'll get the gist
