The French spa-ingredient based products are not the cheapest but are good quality and a pleasure to use. I recommend a consultation here where they test your skin moisture, hydration and collagen levels (in a quick pain-free way!) and will happily provide you with samples so that you can try before you buy.

This is one of those places where the old dears gather to have a chat; I'm only about 5 years away from that, so I can't judge. I will be perfectly honest - I am a bit spoilt by Superdrug, and I would not get my toiletries here, unless I had unexpectedly fun out of something. There is no fancy shampoo or hair products. The make up section is Rimmel and Maybelline. There are plenty of perfume sets in those big boxes, you know the ones - they are the gifts that you pray your auntie won't get you for Christmas, but inevitably you will receive it. Still, the staff are all very helpful and friendly. There is a very comprehensive pharmacy at the back. There are also parking bays reserved for customers outside. Plus it's one of the Grand Dames of Molesey, with a beautifully Art Deco frontage, so I am not going to be too hard on this place.

They make the effort to know you and the family therefore a professional personal touch. On site they have a doctor who can help when you can't get an appointment to see a GP. The flu jab is available here too. If you have difficulty picking up the prescription they will drop it to you at home. Always happy to make recommendations on over the counter pills and potions. They have a close relationship with the local GP practice working hand in hand to give the best service. Xoxo

I always used this branch of Superdrug when I was a kid and even now when I pop back to see my…read moreparents I try and make time to have a quick 'essentials' shop before I leave. It's not the largest Superdrug store, nor the most glam, but they are always fully stocked, the shop girls are friendly but not over-keen or 'in your face' and it's well laid out (well, to be fair I've been using it for 20-odd years so I guess I just know where everything is!) My favourite thing about this store, however, is the resident cat (you noticing a pattern of me liking shops more if they have a pet?) He's not actually Superdrug's cat, he belongs to the pet shop next door, but you'll often find this gorgeous black and white, chubby little moggy sat in one of the aisles, whiling the hours away. He's the world's most patient and chilled out cat, I've seen many a bored child running towards him for a cuddle and he's completely unphased by them. Cuteness! Ahh Superdrug - you're an oldie but a goodie!

I live in Richmond and you may have noticed that I have started reviewing places in Richmond and realize they follow an unfortunate Richmond-esque trend; posh and pretentious. No associate will greet you once you step in; they are too busy chit-chatting amongst themselves about weekend plans. If you ask for help, they put in little to no effort in assisting you. The only saving point about this branch is the staff in pharmacy upstairs are more helpful and down to earth. I have seen associates ignore the phones when they ring and continue their work gossip with each other - wow. The Boots in Twickenham and Teddington may be smaller branches but the staff are much more helpful and welcoming.
