They've got bowling lanes, a pool table, some claw machines and vending machines, and next door, the Viking Valhalla restaurant/bar. It's convenient to be able to walk into the bar to order beers and drinks and food and more. The bartender was super nice, as was really everyone we met. Basically, the beer is cheap, the shoes were in decent shape, and the lanes were open. We didn't get any wings this time, but I think that's in the cards next time. The only drawbacks, as I see them: 1. They seem to have a lot of rules. Only our youngest kids could use the bumpers, as they were worried about damage. They also watched us pretty closely to make sure all shoe rules were being followed. Maybe that's just because we were just about the only folks in there. That said, the place is clean and well kept, which I imagine is because they are vigilant. 2. I got a lot of false hope after throwing two strikes right out of the gate. I was looking at the guy's name scrawled on the wall for his 300 game, and dreaming it could be me. Turns out I couldn't even break 150.

Except this: everything costs like 30% more than at Classic Lanes, the more hardscrabble and bare-bones competition that's like a mile away, which, despite being cheaper, has, for my money, better food, along with about a kazillion vegan options, which is pretty progresssive for a bowling alley, and which Manor Lanes does not have. (Full disclosure: I'm in an informal monthly bowling group that alternates between these two bowling alleys and we have some internal dissension about which one is better, although we all agree that they are both good.) So, if you told me that I could only bowl at Manor Lanes, I'd really be fine with it. It's a nice place, and it absolutely blows away the shitty, overpriced, gimmicky AMF lanes in town. Mostly I appreciate their commitment to operations. Street shoes come off near the front door to avoid tracking wet salty water all over in the winter. Automatic gutter guards are available for kids. The approaches have always been clean. There are plenty of entertainment options here besides the bowling including a TouchTunes jukebox, arcade room and food and beverage options. Overall, this is a more lively and fun place to bowl than, for example, Roseland Bowl in Canandaigua which is closer to us. Also, at least as of early 2026, 3 games of open bowling costs about 4.5 dollars less per person than Roseland Bowl.

The five pin bowling is in the basement next to the Tavola restaurant. It is a little older than some of the 'big box' bowling places around but has ~14 lanes, some pinball machines, nice shoes, and it was a perfect Friday night out with our two young kids. They have guard rails and small bowling shoes for them which added to their excitement. It's licensed and they serve some snacks but we did not stay long enough to try anything. It was really clean and organized. Loved that they had the glow in the dark/disco bowling. The other lanes were occupied by large groups of kids (birthday?) and other families out for some fun. I'd definitely go back....a bit more interactive than our regular movie night.
