Her…read morewebsite was user friendly, she was quick and efficient with responses, and altogether we wish we could relive our session with her over and over again! Cody and I are both Texas natives so we were lost when it came to locations, dress attire- the whole thing. However, Larissa made this process as smooth as could be. Not only was she so beneficial in coordinating everything for us, she also took the time to truly know me and Cody through questionnaires and authentic conversations. During our shoot we spent the afternoon having fun while snapping candid photos (which in our opinion, is the best!) Overall, we swell with pride and gratitude everytime we look at our engagement pictures. This wasn't a job that was taken lightly by Larissa and we love her so much for that. She understands and values every single vision that you have while intertwining her professional expertise. Last but not least- our final pictures! (I am happy dancing while I type this) We are over-the-moon about them! What I appreciate the most about her amazing craft is that she took the time to capture Cody and all of his features equally as much as mine, which I find to be rare during engagements sessions. I can't wait to show our future children, grandchildren and so on how handsome he was/is through these pictures. If I could turn back time I would high-five my past self for booking with Larissa. :-) In fact, as soon as we wrapped up our session Cody looked at me and said, "She has to do our wedding photos!"

From the first moment, she was so helpful and easy to work with. She had this great questionnaire to fill out to get to know us as a couple, and while I am normally not a fan of questionnaires this one was so fun and we genuinely learned a few new things about each other! She took care of absolutely EVERYTHING leading up to and during the shoot, down to helping me choose which hat to wear (which she was totally right about!). And then during the actual shoot she made us feel so comfortable and natural. We do not normally take a lot of pictures but she made it easy and fun and we were laughing the whole time. She truly captured who we are as a couple! The photos are absolutely stunning and we cannot wait to share them with everyone and get them printed! We would 100% recommend Larissa and We, The Light Photography to anyone getting married, especially anyone who is looking for a fun adventure wedding. Trust me, you will be so happy you did!! We can't wait for her to capture our wedding next! Thank you Larissa!

Her gorgeous photos and dreamy editing truly speak for themselves, but what really sets Makaila apart is her remarkable eye for capturing the raw emotions and authentic moments of a wedding day - the little moments between us when we weren't posing, candid shots during our ceremony, our family and friends' reactions, creative shots capturing the decor and venue. She did such an amazing job capturing not only the look, but the feel of the gorgeous natural setting (from the jagged backlit mountain peaks down to us hiking in the dirt with our fancy shoes). She really has an eye for creative compositions and shots that feel genuine, fresh, and full of life. She was great at giving us natural and romantic posing directions and yet also had an uncanny ability to catch the best candids of us, family, and friends. She was such a pleasure to work with and has a friendly, composed, and upbeat vibe! We're so grateful we get to relive our wedding day through Makaila's photography. When I told my then-fiancé that we were doing engagement pictures, he was less than excited. But from the second we met Casey, we were both instantly relaxed. She did an incredible job of making us feel comfortable and focus on each other, rather than the camera. She was fun and easy going, which turned the day into a great memory. By the end of it, my fiancé actually asked me why we don't do things like this more often! And the pictures were AMAZING! She captured our love, relationship and personalities SO well! We could not have been happier or felt more comfortable with our photographer choice going into the wedding. And then came the wedding. Casey and Vanessa KILLED it!!! For starters, we were running behind schedule when they arrived, so they had to re-arrange their timeline of when we would take certain pictures. They did this flawlessly, actually calming my stress instead of adding to it. They had a great time taking pictures of the groomsmen before and really let them be themselves. The pictures are priceless. Just as the ceremony was getting ready to start outside, it started to rain. These two did not bat an eye as they stood in the pouring, cold rain, capturing every moment of our day. In addition to taking amazing pictures they lent their jackets, held umbrellas and wrangled a very large, loud bridal party with the perfect mix of fun and business. By the time we were ending the night at the reception, my dad ended up insisting he take a picture of my husband and I with Casey and Vanessa, because they were SUCH an integral part of our wedding day! The pictures were delivered to us very quickly and could have been more beautiful or genuine. As we look back at the pictures a year later, they instantly transport us to each moment of that wonderful day. Thank you for EVERYTHING Casey and Vanessa!
