Originally had a call to do the maintenance on our new unit but they called and cancelled. A new appointment was never done and I am not happy with scheduling considering Vlodymyr was the one who first gave me the info and pricing. Talked to Russell's Mechanical who is now doing the maintenance for 360 Air tech. Currently waiting for billing to contact me with pricing for a maintenance contract. I hope it is what I was first told by the owner of 360 Air tech. I will do another review later.

We were lucky to get the same tech all three times - once to seal up some leaky ducts in the crawlspace, once to remove an old wireless thermostat and install an Ecobee, and once to figure out why our system was calling either Aux heat or humidifier but not both. We had a leak coming from the bottom of our air handler, so I called A/C Masters -- a company we…read morehad used before and trusted -- to come out to our home in Newport News on June 13. Unfortunately, this experience was disappointing. While the technician who came was knowledgeable and professional, the issue lies in how the company conducts business, which ultimately left me $174 out of pocket for a service that didn't resolve the problem. After diagnosing the issue, the technician said the P-trap was clogged and vacuumed the drain line. She said water appeared to be draining properly and noted that some light dripping might continue due to wet insulation -- but we were relieved that the problem seemed resolved. Just a few hours later, the leak returned -- same spot, same amount. When I called the company the next day, I was told the line might still be clogged and that they could come back out, but I'd be charged another $85 labor fee -- even though the first visit didn't resolve the issue. I also learned their advertised "30-day guarantee" only waives the $89 diagnostic fee, not the labor, even for the exact same unresolved problem. After doing my own research, I realized that since they already knew the drain line was underground and made of metal, a quick vacuum was unlikely to solve the problem long-term especially because we don't have a condensation pump. It made me question and feel like they were just trying to get me to spend more money piece by piece. I tried speaking with the manager, Robert, before leaving a review to resolve the issue but was told it's simply "company policy" to charge a labor cost again. I won't be using A/C Masters in the future, and I would caution others to seek a company that stands behind their work and prioritizes fixing the problem the first time -- not charging again for unresolved issues.

I had a list of items for estimate and, in order to find out the cost for each item, he had to remove all others to be able to tell me. Also, they will email a link to the estimate (not an attachment) and the link will expire in 7 days. It seems to me they are strategies to make it more difficult to compare quotes. I wanted 4 can lights and was told that I'd need a new electric panel for that to happen. I was quoted around $5,200 for a new electric panel (after having to ask specifically for the cost of this item). I mentioned that I put a panel in 3 years ago for a similar sized home and it was $2,500ish. I just got another quote for this home. It was $2,700 and I was also told I didn't need a new panel to add the 4 can lights.

I told her I had it in the box, in my garage. I had purchased it from Lowe's and it was unopened. I also a had a two steps set from our Laundry Room to the garage that needed a set of wooden handrails installed. I also had the wood for that too. She asked me to send pictures of each, which I did. She gave me a cost of $350-$500 estimate for the shower door, but reserved the cost for the step rails to the Handyman when he arrived. She set the arrival for Dec 12 at between 12-1:00. I received a text the day before to confirm the visit no time and I replied. I had asked for a courtesy call before he came, but received none. He showed up at 8:00 AM . Unacceptable to me, for we are retired and I was still asleep. I told him his mistake was he didn't ask for me, for I was the one that had call. He said he did 75% of his business with Wives and thought I wasn't home. I said you didn't ask. He had come in and checked the area. His cost was $550 which I didn't agree for shower door. I told him $500 as the lady told me as tops. He agreed. His price to add the step handles was $450 to install just two wooden handrails and side slats on the steps. I said no. He would have to come down. I called the business and explained to her that he went to Lowe's for materials, which I also had and I had idea what he'd needed. She asked me if I would let her hang up before he purchased anything and she would call me back? I agreed. No returned call. He returned with a written Work approval of for me to sign. I looked it over and it was blank except name, address and at the bottom a place for me to sign. This was an authorization to do the work. I told him I didn't sign blank documents. I told him to fill it out stating the work he was going to do, including the removal of old door assembly, disposal and clean up to my satisfaction. I further want a signed copy from him. He said I told you the cost would be $500. He seemed a little upset with what I wanted. He said let me go out to the truck and talk to my boss. I will come back and let you know. He drove off with no comment. Note: I learned a lesson a long time about signing blank documents and I haven't since. On the good side: The Handyman was courteous, with one acceptation, looked at the box with the door and wood for the steps. He seemed knowledgeable and wore covers on his shoes to protect our wooden floor. I cannot recommend this company. If you hire them, get it in writing, you may be regretful.
