Had a very upsetting episode at this branch. My 93-yr old mother is a long-time account holder at this branch. I accompanied her to cash some dividend checks totaling about $100, but she forgot her wallet with her ID. She's been a customer there for over 30 years, so staff know her. However the branch manager was new, and insisted my mom answer one of their "security questions." At 93 years, my mothers memory is not good, and I didn't want her to embarrass herself trying to remember. As the branch manager was knew, I asked if she would allow another branch officer to identify my mother, one that has known my mother for many many years. The branch manager refused to allow that. After several minutes of heated discussion, the issue was eventually resolved, but we came away bewildered at why we were put through such an exasperating experience. I was very disappointed at how coldly they treated a long-time customer, and how un-empathetic they were in dealing with a 93-yr old senior. That episode definitely did not give me the feeling that this is a small community-minded bank. read more
