Never go here amazing customer service exceptionally great meat cuts and an exemplary selection of items

Butcher shops aren't common as they used to be due to the Internet, advances in mail order and generously stocked butcher sections in places like Walmart, supermarkets, etc. I haven't been inside an actual butcher since I was last in NYC. I heard about Meats by John & Wayne; wanting something more than a typical supermarket meat selection, I went there...and was pleased! The selection is quite impressive. While there is a small selection of seafood, what really shines here is all the sausages! There's Cajun sausage, bratwursts, snack sticks, breakfast links, potato sausage and more! There's plenty of pork options, chicken, duck, lamb and buffalo! The service is pretty good as there have two registers active when it is really busy and the amount of traffic I saw in the store convinced me it was a good choice for meats! I was in town for an event and noticed my hotel had some grills, so I decided to stop by and grab some steaks. The prices were phenomenal and quality was amazing. They had a great selection of cuts. Because I was traveling I was also able to grab some high quality seasoning for the steaks. I would highly recommend! read more

Dirty store, not much in selection of meats, chicken majority of items were FROZEN...and not 1 employee was following any CDC guidelines!! No masks were worn or hornets either and males working in back had beards GROSS!!! Never will go here again!!!! read more

Nice selection of fresh meats cheese homemade sausages and some other excellent food choices from fish to potatoes and sauces. I just wish they would make people wear masks and their staff wear masks and gloves. Also offer sanitizer too. The space should have social distancing considering it's a small space. This is pretty much my one-stop-shop for all things meaty. While they don't have some of the more colorful things that I was used to getting in California at carniceria's, the selection that they have is outstanding. All the meats are fresh, well-chilled, and they also offer a variety of different marinaded meats to pick up. In addition to all this, they've got a great selection of fish, brats, sausages, chips, and cheeses. I usually come in here before a game night on Saturday and will pick up 10-15lbs of skirt steak, which they always trim down for me, to make carne asada. As another here has observed, none of the staff is masked up. This is disappointing in a food store for sure.

This place is like an old-fashioned small town butcher shop. The smell of spices pleasantly hits you when you walk in and you always get a friendly greeting from behind the counter.. There is a huge selection and the place is spotlessly clean. On Wednesdays they have a special on pre-cooked BBQ spare ribs, if you don't want to grill you can just heat them in the microwave, and they are great. They also have fresh fish, lots of locally made products like jam and salsa and all kinds of different sausages and beef sticks. The Hunter's Sausage is my favorite, cooked with scrambled eggs for a Sunday morning breakfast. For some real heat, try the Burn Your Mouth beef sticks, make sure to have a drink close by when you eat them. The staff are friendly and helpful, and will gladly give you suggestions on the best way to prepare a cut of meat. You definitely need to check this place out. read more

My son took me to pick up some chicken yesterday. We bought teriyaki , garlic and buffalo! My son grilled them and they were awesome!!! Their pricing is great and all the items they have look great!! I can't wait to go back for more!! read more

I will NEVER patronize this business again! Checked website for weekly specials and ribeyes were on sale. Drove there, not a short trip, to find ribeyes 3 bucks more a pound. Asked the clerk (buddy holley looking punk) why they weren't as advertised. He says the website was just updated. This was at 3:30 in the afternoon. I asked if they would honor their website price, and he said " which ones do you want?". I said I would like two cut thick and big shocker he said he couldn't do it for the sale price. I've bought meat numerous times on sale cut to my spec w/o issue. Won't happen again. read more

We drive once a year to Fargo from CO and every time we stop to stock up on brats, hunters sausage and beef sticks. This last time we were really disappointed. The brats are still amazing but the hunters sausage and beef sticks tasted like over spiced bologna. There was no "hunters" taste to it. If I wanted bologna I would go to my local grocery store and save 3 dollars. I truly hope they go back to their old recipes, especially for the price. read more

First time I went here was after hearing an ad this summer and was perfect day for grilling and just this past week picked up T bones (which were on sale for 6.99/pound) and they were absolutely the best steaks in the world! Never have been disappointed, the staff is friendly and helpful, you can't go wrong with meat from here. I am going to miss this place when we move in January! read more
