I had my wife and son pick up some prime tri-tip, and it smoke and grill up perfectly on the grill. Great quality meat and I'll definitely be back for more. I originally called to make sure I'd make it in time, but when I realized I wouldn't, I asked my wife and son to stop by instead. I called the store to let them know my son would be picking it up, and the person who helped them was super nice and easy to work with. Third visit to Meatopia, a small business-owned company, and this past week, I purchased 2-1# ground beef, bacon, 1# sirloin and filet cut up stew meat, Canadian Walleye pike (frozen), Sicilian sausages, and frozen beef dog food all of which we've eaten so far except for ground beef. The stew meat: exceptionally tender. Last night hub made yummy stew enough for four meals. Rave, rave a winner indeed, this meat shop desperately needed for fresh, grass fed meat products in Phoenix. Our dog loves the beef dog food. If Meatopia was not so far from me I'd go weekly. Service excellent very helpful, answered my many questions and to browse around as much as I wanted. My wife and I stopped in to check out this new local butcher. I had low expectations, expecting such a small place to have very little to choose from and be expensive. I am happy to report I could not be more wrong! This is a hidden treasure! Lot's of variety with prices lower than I expected. It all seems too good to be true. So we ordered a little chicken, a little sausage, some jalapeno poppers... long story short, we came back three days later to pick up the Triple Threat burgers, more jalapeno poppers, the jalapeno and cheese bratwurst... and everything (EVERYTHING!) was fresh and delicious!!! The flavor of 'fresh' may throw off many people as the flavor and texture are a thousand times better than what you may find in the market. Chicken was juicy and carried seasoning better, the bratwurst or sausages are made in-house and are way better than anything packaged, the jalapeno poppers are beyond delicious and that triple threat, well, nothing anywhere can beat the flavor. If looking for chicken tenders, they are a butcher and will happily cut the fresh chicken breast for you. No custom requests are turned down. They also have wonderful creations such as in-house created compound butters, seasonings even local honey. UPDATE - Just tried their pork chops and the Filet Mignon. They were both absolutely, deliciously juicy and moist! I also noticed natural casing hotdogs in the freezer and some fresh buns for sale. I picked those up. Placed a couple of the frozen hotdogs on the grill and OMG! These hotdogs have the 'snap' when you bite into them and took me back to my childhood with Detroit Coney's. So good! It's hard to find hotdogs with natural casings and, even then, they don't have this traditional flavor. I also discovered some frozen dog treats in the freezer section that my dog just loves and we are trying to shift him to a raw diet, so everyone wins! They also have the pig-ear treats at the checkout area, and what dog doesn't love those? This place has pretty much ruined all hamburger, steak, chicken and pork from the grocery store (and it's cheaper!) read more

Their meat here is delicious. My husband and I bought a tomahawk steak and stuffed mushrooms. The meat was melt in your mouth delicious and the mushrooms were yummy. I also just got some tubs of organ and scraps meats for my dog which she is very happy with as well. So happy to have a legit butcher in the area. read more

This butcher shop reminds me of the ones I used to visit with my Dad when I was a kid. Family-owned, family-run -- everyone is kind, helpful, willing to assist and answer any questions you might have. It was our first visit and we wanted to buy the "Grill It Up" package. We also purchased some bourbon brown sugar bacon, which was phenomenal on the flat-top, and breakfast sausages -- let me just say, these ain't no Jimmy Deans -- they're plump and tasty, similar to what our favorite breakfast spot serves. While they were preparing our package, we asked questions, they are very knowledgeable about the family business. Meatopia has a great selection of meats, seasonings, and other add-on items like veggies, drinks and all kinds of sauces. We walked out very impressed by both the ambiance of the shop and the people who work there -- they are the backbone of this business and do a fantastic job! read more

They ripped my wife off on a pair of Tbones. My wife, who knows nothing about cuts of meat, bought two "Tbone" steaks on Oct 3rd 2025. It was almost $70 for the two steaks. What we actually got, was a Tbone missing the entire loin half. So we essentially had a New York Strip with a GIANT T bone attached to it. I got $35 worth of meat and $35 worth of bone. A real New York Strip has no bones it and would have been much less costly. This is ripping the customer off, just like an old school butcher placing his grubby thumb on the scale to double the price of your order. Beware and examine the cuts before you walk out. I seen they just opened so I decided to stop by. First impressions that place is very clean and presentable. So much to chose from. I first bought a Tomahawk steak and wow it was amazing. I tried the seasoning they recommended and I'm not trying anything else but that. I stopped again and got a couple New York Steaks. They where so delicious I'm going back. Had seen the sign for this shop before the holidays and found it mentioned when I was searching for a local source of sweetbreads. Stopped in and found they did have them in their freezer case. Also bought some frozen rounds of beef marrow bones for our dogs. Was very pleased with the variety of good looking cuts of fresh meat. A second visit and we bought more marrow bones, a carton of raw frozen dog food and a steak which we had for a meal over the weekend... Was recommended this place for fresh protein. Came in about a month ago to get some beef and chicken. I purchased the Meats package got extra hamburger and extra chicken in exchange for the pork because we had just found out that my mother has cancer and can no longer eat pork. The hamburger and tri tip were frozen everything else was fresh and good. We were not able to eat the hamburger or the tri tip all The frozen meats were oxidized and smelled sour. The 4 lbs of ground beef and the 2 lb tri tip all went to the trash. Don't know if I'll ever go back. read more
