It was so cute. The staff were so great with the kids (aged 4-10ish) and safety was a priority. I didn't get a chance to ride any of the horses, but I'd honestly like to come back and do a one time ride at some point. I haven't ridden a horse since I was a teenager, and being around them made me really happy. Such a fun spot and they have a great mission of equine therapy.

Not only has she developed physical strength and agility, but she has also learned important life skills such as communication, discipline, and perseverance. I am grateful for the opportunity to witness this unique and exciting sport, and I am proud to be a part of a community that values sportsmanship and teamwork. Staff--They are all wonderful. The Springdale is much older than the Kingswood. Our family enjoyed swimming and volley ball. The playground is old and the slides need repair. We did the horseback riding and that was fun, except the horses hooves needed attention. You could tell they had not had a farrier out to trim the horses in a long time. Some of the kids running the horseback riding didn't seem to have a good handle on the horses. It was quite unorganized. The worst part of the experience was the river float. The river was not only slow but the water level was low and the water was quite disgusting. At many points, your butt was touching the bottom of the river and it was mucky, rocky, and we had to get out and walk. Wear water shoes! I don't understand why the river was not dredges of all the debris. With the water table being so low, they should have prepared us for a slow moving river, and seaweed everywhere. IT WAS A VERY BAD EXPERIENCE!

The pastures were unkept, multiple horses have had injuries from loose nails, stalls contained incredibly uneven footing which is very detrimental to a horses health, even feeding was done wrong, leading to aggravated and unfed horses. Thankfully we were able to get out while we still could, but for many others it hasn't been so easy. Save yourself while you still can.

This ranch did not disappoint. Each room is decorated so cute, the beds were very comfortable and having a private bathroom for each room was a defendant plus. The breakfast was homemade and very delicious! The owner made sure each room was clean and even asked us if the breakfast time was good for us. You won't get this kind of service at a hotel. The surrounding ranch was beautiful. Sitting on the large deck overlooking the horse ranch with coffee in hand was so calming. I wanted to stay longer. I would recommend staying here for as long as your vacation allows. You may even bring your horse or book to ride their horse. They have a large property with trails, along with state land behind them which also has many trails. I would recommend staying here, you won't want to leave.

This is definitely a family friendly activity. They have horses of all sizes, even for younger children. You can also pay 50 cents for a cup of treats to give your horse at the end of your ride :) The scenery winds through fields and wooded trails. We saw so many deer and a very big buck! Such a great way to unplug and get out in nature. They also have restrooms to use. Highly recommend this family farm for horseback riding! The wranglers do work for tips so bring cash to tip!
