BP is only a few blocks away from Woodfield Mall and had a free air pump. Apparently, I wasn't the only one who needed to add air to my tires as I had to wait for two cars for my turn, and when I left there was another car using the pump. BP has a small store with a variety of items for purchase. Both the friendly, cheerful employees directed me to the tire pressure gauges. Thank God they had one on their shelves! It came with two tire valve caps which I ended up needing one when my frozen hands dropped my car's cap somewhere in the slushy inches of snow.

I wanted to purchase a product that costs $3 in the other two Marathons in the same town. There were no price tags on anything in the store. I went to pay and they did not tell me the price, instead they only asked for my card, not cash. After they charged my card, I was not given a receipt and they told the juice I paid for was $8! I felt like I was robbed. They should have told me the price before taking my card and they should have given me a receipt so I can dispute the $9.50 charge on my card. The store owner lied to me after ripping me off. I am really upset about this terrible service. The other Marathons in my hometown are okay.

Hands down some of the most pleasant employees I've interacted with in a very long time, I'm a HUGE believer in superior customer service..so I was enamored with just how delightful each one of them are, each and every time. Aside from fuel & great customer service, their little store is stocked with tons of chips, dips, snacks, pop, juice, assorted dairy, energy drinks, coffee drinks, etc...all offered at a decent price. Coolers have a small selection of meats & cheeses and the sort. Always fresh and hot coffee, freshly popped popcorn, and a nice cooler up front that has pre-made deli sandwiches, fresh fruit cups, sausage & cheese cubes, etc.. When I was in Barrington over the weekend, my GasBuddy app told me that Meijer was that place. There's not much to say about a gas station, generally. However, I will say that this one was clean. It's with the Meijer store that's here, which is part of a larger collection of stores so there's at least one or two restaurants nearby. It's relatively large, with probably at least 8-10 pumps, and when I was here there were only one or two others so it wasn't busy. I appreciate that they have a dispenser with gloves to use on the pump, and I'd appreciate that even in non-pandemic times so I hope they keep it up.
