Today we went to buy bark mulch, we do not own a truck, so we decided to use our car and load up ourselves, with the buckets provided. I asked the loader operator how many buckets in 1 yard, he told me 100. I asked if I load 50 I my car and come back in an hour for another 50 buckets, if I could pay the 1 yard fee of $35 instead of the $1 per pail price. He said as far as he knows, yes we can. We loaded 50 pails ourselves, and at check out, we were told that we could not pre pay 1 yard ( 100 buckets ) and make 2 trips. So 1 yard costs $35 dollars, to have 1 of their employees load it, with their tractor, but if you load buckets yourself, make 2 trips, the exact same product will cost you now $100. But apparently it is policy! You do the work, and make 2 trips, you will now pay $65 dollars more. How in the world does this make any sense. How is this customer service, when the customer is servicing themselves? Very disappointed in our experience with this company, that I have used for years as a contractor, but retired now, downsize vehicles, and cost of living today...... they want to charge almost 3X as much for the same product, that we load and pick up ourselves. read more
