TERRIBLE EXPIERENCE. Think twice before choosing this practice. Scheduled a new patient visit to get a teeth cleaning. Had to take 2 hours off of work as thats what they schedule for a new patient. They did X-Rays, Exams, etc and then after an hour told me I needed a deep cleaning which is an extra $263 not covered by insurance. I politely said I would just like a regular cleaning covered by my insurance company. They refused and said it was only beneficial to get a deep cleaning which I had to pay extra for. I asked if I could just get a regular cleaning today and check with my insurance company to see if they would cover the additional cost and schedule the deep cleaning at a later time. They refused to let me get a regular cleaning. Wasted 2 hours of my day. My son also had a terrible experience here. Its called Meadows Family Dentistry but not family friendly. Waste of time. read more

We couldn't be any happier at meadows family dentistry. They don't try to oversell you on work you don't need done. Pediatrics is phenomenal: the way Dr. Meadows talks to the kids thru his process... he has a special talent with kids. The adult side is fantastic too. The receptionists (especially Gail) are all kind and helpful. My kids love the token machines and actually enjoy the dentist. When our insurance was dropped by meadows- I told them we'd pay out of pocket. That's how much I love this place. read more

Meadows Family Dentistry - The office - Pediatric Dentists Near Me - Bradenton, Florida

My son was a patient of this practice for years. We drove 30+ minutes to go there. My son needed a cleaning while home from college. we made an appointment months in advance. They never have anything open last minute. My son went in for his appointment and had had x-rays done at another dentist. The dentist who did the x-rays hadn't sent them over yet because they're closed on Fridays. They did not let me know till yesterday (Thursday) that they needed a copy of the x-rays. They told me that they needed to charge for new x-rays because insurance wouldn't cover it because he had x-rays last February . We were not told they needed the x-rays before they could see my son. They waited until we got there to tell us that they cannot see my son without the x-rays and if they weren't sent, then they would need to take them and charge us. Very unprofessional. They could've at least communicated all of this to us prior to us coming from such a far distance. I will never go back there again nor will anyone in my family. read more

I've just removed all my children from Meadows Family Dentistry. My husband was 10 minutes late to the appointment because it took the school too long to get my daughter out of class. I received a phone call from Meadows at 11:29 and the appointment was at 11:20. The lady told me that my daughter was nine minutes late and that if she was 15 minutes late they would cancel the appointment. My husband was pulling into the parking lot when she was on the phone with me. He went inside and they canceled him anyway even though it hadn't been the 15 minutes. Unacceptable and poor customer service. I've been going there since I was a child and then my 3 kids as well. It's a shame they're willing to lose life long patients over 10 minutes. Very rude front desk! We inquired about private fees and a woman disregard our question. Later, after one appointment, a woman got angry because we didn't book the next appointment right on the spot. We had a friend who states front desk was asking private information about her teen daughter in front of other clients. Certainly, they need training about HIPAA ( protection of sensitive patient health information from being disclosed without the patient's consent or knowledge). Dr. Meadows is kind as well as his dental assistants but the front desk made me look for a different office. read more

The staff are friendly and they are almost always on time (yay!). I see Dr Shafi who is the adult dentist. My children see both the dentist and orthodontist on the pediatric side. We can almost always get appointments when it's convenient for us, and they send us plenty of reminders to ensure we don't forget. They are knowledgable and I found them to be more thorough than others. 4 stars instead of 5 because we have had a few hiccups with miscommunication (mostly related to one individual who I don't think is there anymore), and parking is difficult. read more

Came in as a new patient for my baby. The receptionist told me he be coming in for a exam. We got there everything happen so fast! It was just like open and close mouth and done. Now i think 110 for a exam to just open your mouth is expensive. Told me information i already knew so i wouldnt waste my time! read more

I am so glad I found a good dental office. We moved from out of state and it is always so hard to find a good dentist. Dr. Shafi is so kind and gentle. I have sensitive teeth and they really took extra care to keep me comfortable. I definitely recommend this office. My whole family loves Meadows Family Dentistry. The kids (3yrs and 5yrs) actually have fun at their visits. They constantly ask when they get to go back. The staff is friendly and knowledge. Plus, the office is clean/sterile yet warm and inviting. read more

I am a new patient at MFD, just left my old dentist b/c... never mind lol. Unfortunately I was late to my appointment due to family issues, but I was surprised and elated when I entered the building and they still treated me with the utmost respect. I felt like I was family. Everyone was sooo very nice. Everything went smoothly during my appointment. Usually I don't socialize with anyone during any appointments but I just felt so welcomed. From the moment I walked in, Gail and Angie greeted me at the door with a friendly smile. Crystal, the hygienist, was friendly, caring and extremely knowledgeable. This office is fantastic! Everyone is super friendly and the doctors & staff explain everything in detail. They make sure all questions are answered and made my daughter feel very comfortable. I am so glad I chose this orthodontist. This office also does all phases of dental care, which I was unaware of, so I'll be bringing my daughter there for all of her dental needs. Had a filling re-done and ended up with sepsis. Ok, things like this can happen on rare occasion, but upon calling to discuss a possible treatment with Shafi, I was put off to the office assistant. Told it was 'not our problem'. In addition, during the procedure she left for ~15 min for whatever reason while I was sitting there with clamps/tools in my mouth. The assistant ended up finishing. Really! My family will never set foot in your office again. read more
