My puppy Honey is 6 1/2 months old and I needed to find somewhere close to get her groomed. After having other groomers in town not return my texts and phone calls I decided to call Sandy Hill. Not only was the gentleman on the phone pleasant. But he was able to get me an appointment for the very next day. I also like the fact that Sandy Hill requires proof of vaccines, rabies shots, kennel cough, etc. prior to taking on a new puppy. When I got there for her appointment at 1 o'clock they were already waiting for me. They took a picture of her for her file, petted her up a little bit so she would be comfortable and asked specifically what I wanted done during the grooming appointment. I was told that it would be about an hour and a half and that I would get a phone call when she was done about an hour and 15 minutes later, I received a call from her groomer, letting me know that she was all done and adding that she did exceptionally well considering that she's just a puppy. When I got there, the groomer brought her out showed me what she did and handed me a report card that also outlined her appointment, she also proactively made an appointment eight weeks out for me so that I didn't have to worry. The location is about 13 minutes from the center of Saxonburg, and is located off of Sandy Hill Road. The kennel and grooming complex itself was spotless, it was immediately evident that it was a classy, well taken care of business. I will for sure be taking honey back and having Christine groom her again!

Took my dog there for boarding and was asked if we wanted her to have a bath. We said yes, not…read morerealizing that the fee for a bath for a 100 lb dog was $100!!!!!! over 20% of our overall bill. When inquiring about the charge, i was told that grooming is a separate service and we should have known to inquire what the fee would be. The front desk has no accountability or responsibility for grooming pricing. I find that as a full service business, that is not a very customer friendly response and quite frankly, in other kennels i have used, the bathing was always included in the overall kennel stay. I will be taking my business elsewhere.

Our cat has special medical requirements which were provided for. The amount charged was way beyond fair which prompted us to make an additional contribution to the facility to use at their discretion. I would highly recommend this business.

Haven't boarded. I intended to have it as a back-up, toured, and saw no place for small dogs. It's…read moreclean, the many young women were enthusiastic and constantly working. I have used their grooming service half dozen times. Won't go back. They said at visit 3 that my dog really loved the bathing/grooming process so I don't think she's the issue, but the cuts are terrible. I have had to cut long straggling pieces on the throat, face is cut obviously different on left vs. right side. If I can see this, shouldn't the groomer be able to? I was informed that an apprentice groomer was doing the work but only under supervision of a senior groomer. Not sure senior person has any involvement. Costs are high. When I asked about why $5 more every visit, they said it depends on length of hair. Last two times I asked for just a slight trim - price still at the highest rate so that doesn't fit. The staff are kind and friendly, but the result is a poor cut that costs more than my own haircut. Have to try elsewhere.

oh my God barnyard kennels you know I'm surprised. I honestly didn't make a review of this place…read morealready if you are looking at reviews for barnyard counts this is the one for you and we are gonna go in depth about how this place works with the run down is really everything so it's a pretty long drive right depending on where you live. It's probably a long drive but that long drive is worth it especially in the morning you just get the man going up route eight just get the field to get fab in the morning air. I'll make sure let your dog out window window if he jumps that's OK just get them out if you're starting to lose interest in this reveal keep it really good so it's a little bit of a long drive right but you go to the countryside it's really nice and then if I don't get to the place you turn right and you go behind this road and there's a house right next to the kennel because owners actually live there and they get to hear the torment of dogs screaming at night when you go there there's a date it's a big date and I have to open it and then you open the door on the right now your dog may want to take a Dookie right right after you enter the gate you may want to take a Dookie and you could see the picture below is my dog when he was taking a Dookie because they do that guys don't get mad at him his poop smeared off maybe a little bit of a there but it's OK. They have payroll and things there as well for the doggies for you I mean, but yeah I go to the desk they take them off and you'll never see your dog again for the next two days, so go out throw up because of the smell of you know the poop and that's wrap guys and now you go back you pick up your other family members back to your house pick up your other family members and go out on your trip love your depressed because your dog is gone but yeah I really like barnyard kennels that was you know overview of you know, saying how we we go but I think it's a great place so yeah definitely definitely check it out and I have some fun photos for you to check out below. Thank you.

Since…read morewe had no cell service where we were, they couldn't get in touch with us or they would have, I'm sure. On our way home, they called us in the car to tell us horror stories about our dog's behavior. Holy crap, I thought the worst. When we got there, they said they couldn't 'connect' with my dog and to not bring her back again. WTF. They had her crammed in a small cage and God only knows how often they let her out. I'll tell you what was wrong with my dog, she was pissed off about being in a cage made for a beagle. We even took the dog there weeks ahead of time to meet them , they said, ' aw, she'll be no problem'. if you jammed me in a little cage for three days, I wouldn't 'connect' with you either. Basically, they have all of these little, we'll behaved decoy dogs running around but couldn't handle a big one. They could have told us that up front and saved us the $$$ and agitation. Unless you have a dog the size of a hamster that they'll have no problem handling, stay away from this group.
