From the minute we met, I felt very comfortable . She was easy to talk to and actually reminded me of a dear teacher friend of mine. I always come prepared with research I've done, in case a Dr recommends something I disagree with, but she didn't do that. And she told me I was smart to do my research. We definitely bonded and had a great talk. She recommended some bloodwork, which was fine . Never met such a happy Doctor, since my Dr Cea, who used to make house calls in the Bronx, when I was a kid. I am looking forward to my next visit in December. The staff's instructions and responses to my inquiries were incorrect about 85% of the time. Also they do not use their portal effectively. I complained numerous times and was told the software "does not do that"; however, I have another physician that uses the same software and it is excellent. After 3 months of frustrations, I have left this practice.

I was referred her by my pediatrician after my daughter developed symptoms of pink eye. We arrived about 7pm, waited for about 15 mins, and then were escorted to an exam room. The lady who took us back was so rough with our daughter trying to get her vitals. She couldn't get a good reading for her oxygen or blood pressure and even struggled with getting her temperature. She eventually gave up and said the Doctor didn't really need it. After about 10 mins, the Doctor came in. He was so rough with my daughter. He was grabbing her face so hard. He looked at her so quickly I don't think he could even make a proper diagnosis. He just went based off of what we said as her parents. Definitely wouldn't recommend for patients with babies. The pictures are 2 days after her appt. Bruise is still dark and is the shape of a fingertip.

Although the building and equipment look cheap, that's because they're a low-budget operation, so please remember that they ONLY CHARGE 45 DOLLARS. To be honest I was offset at my first meeting with him as I prefer a female Dr over a male and I actually demanded to never see him again. God intervened. J Hess nursed me through a case of pneumonia that lasted over 6mo, he helped me get onto the right mental health medication that literally changed my life and I have gone on to advocate the same treatment to others with my condition. He is an amazingly sensible, truthfully interested, and is one of the BEST medical practitioners I have ever had the opportunity to be treated by, and I have a 30+ yr chronic illness. Hess stood out of his position with the restrictive, uncaring administration of the Citrus Co Health Dept and fought to obtain his place in Citrus County, under the wisdom of an MD or not, Hess to me is better than any Dr I have ever went to and I would rather stitch myself up or avoid going to an ER after being shot is how much respect I have for this man.
