Course is in terrible shape. Greens are hard and fast as hell the day after flood amounts of rain. Fairways have 2-3 inch tall ROUGH in the middle of them and gopher and prairie dog holes. Lost three balls that weren't hit into water or out of bounds. Crew threw away a half full beer and a full brand new bottle of water while I was putting my bag in my car and the clubhouse refused to make it right until I had to go full Karen and "talk to the manager" which I HATE doing. The GPS system on the carts is BROKEN. Made me push my cart 100 yards until it unlocked again after it thought I was too close to a green when I was nowhere near it. Just because your employees wear matching attire now and have tee box concierge you aren't Lubbock country club, you aren't even T-Bar in Tahoka where the staff is way nicer. read more

Bought a membership for my grandson. Have accompanied him on several rounds. Showed up today for our tee time. Was then told I owed them 25 dollars to accompany him to watch It's hard enough to afford the sport without being taken advantage of by greedy businesses. It the busy season so they don't care about there clientele. read more

Working about two hours out of town, decided to come play some golf since Lubbock was the closest decent size town. Showed up with our group of four and supposedly got paired with a random solo, so we were forced to move back an hour and a half instead of letting the solo go ahead of us. After their renovation, both courses are in much better shape than ever before. The creek is better by a lot and I'd say even better kept than shadow hills now. They're taking great care of this course now. read more

Not great but not horrible unless you're behind a 5some which shouldn't even be a thing. I'm playing solo and each hole is maybe 20 minutes because they won't let anyone play through. They've been passed by multiple other groups already. You can do better Meadowbrook. read more

Very unprofessional team that works there! We had a group of 4 playing a scramble and 2 of us were beginners myself included and the Marshall was constantly coming up to us to tell us to hurry up or let someone play through while we were waiting on the groups in front of us as well he saw a couple beginners and singled us out. Which is fine until he wanted us to stay off to the side for almost everyone to play through us. He also told us we all needed to buy a set of clubs for everyone before we ever come back there which for my first time I'm not buying a set of clubs to see if I even like the game. They ruined my first experience golfing and killed the game for me personally. Even for my first time golfing it's obviously how bad the grounds are out there. read more

Worst course i have ever stepped foot on. Impossible to find your ball even if its in the fairway. I'm convinced this course doesnt own grass seed, water or a mower. The only sufaces out here are rock beds, dry dirt and over grown weeds. read more

Some 58 year old white guy tried to fight me because he felt I was too slow playing through after his group told me to do so. I said nothing to the man other than "I have nothing to say to you" and he threatened me with two golf clubs in his hands. Other than that course is decent and twilight rates are great. Hope nobody runs into the curmudgeonly man because he might try to bash your head in with his 1980's putter. read more

Course in good shape considering how hot and dry it has been. We played creek side. Play was reasonably paced considering it was a Saturday. The marshal was friendly and cart girls were awesome. Beware of the kite birds on hole 13 left side of the green. They will attack you. We had a person in our group that got hit by a bird on the head and was bleeding. They are very aggressive. read more

I have to agree with the other comments stating "worst course in town". Recently played there for the first time in probably 30 years and was so disappointed. With all the trees and water there's so much potential for a premium public course but that opportunity is wasted. Greens were in good shape but that's it. Bad tee boxes and even worse fairways. Lastly, staff I encountered seemed to fall right in line with the course maintenance attitude. They being they don't care about anything. Maybe some day there will be some money put in to improve everything but I wouldn't count on that. read more

I like both courses, they have seen much better days, like 30 years ago. But it is like everything else these days where minimum customer service and minimum facility maintenance is good enough for who ever is running the GC. I understand budgets and lack of money problems but bad customer service is just pathetic. It reflects management. Stone Gate ,now closed, and Meadow Brook were the only courses to have a 9 hole rate which is awesome for the golf in Lubbock but they don't tell you that it is not offered on the week ends. Friendly staff, affordable rates and customer first management equals a successful business. read more

This course is fine for the money. $10 for 18 holes on Mondays and Wednesdays with a student ID. Driving range needs improvement; not much grass to hit off of or much to aim at. I prefer the canyon course over the creek course. They have cart girls but they are in short supply. The course is not the nicest, but it is definitely playable. Good place for beginners. read more

Would give it 0 if i could. To start with. Course is very subpar and not well maintained. You get what you pay for i guess. Also website is out of date. As we finished golfing today we were grabbing our balls as it was dark and they said they were closing so we went to the pin and grabbed our balls. As we were in the parking lot a man approached us yelling saying "did you not hear me saying no more golf" at first we stayed quiet and he then said "yeah now you can hear me huh" he also proceeded to tell us to "get the fuck out of here and stay out of here and not to come back. Very unprofessional and disappointing that they are allowed to speak to customers like that. He was probably having a rough day and took it out on us. Hopefully no one has to deal with that. read more

This place is soo poorly lit , that you'll feel as if you're walking into a Masoluem. It's like you're only wanted in the pro shop for pay for playing and that's it. You'll not hear anything about a Snack Bar or Restrooms nearby , which are actually pretty old and filled with mold i might add. The course is just not very appealing. The Canyon Course should be renamed the Depleted Soil Nutrients course , simply because the course will make you feel like you're going through Depression , like a Van Gough painting. I just got the feeling like i would be attacked by Wild Natives while in that area , it's acutally on the less developed side of town where you just don't really want to be after dark , so get your round in early. The Creek Course is where the City Championship is held , and i'm sure that it's just because it can hold spectators for the event. Maybe no one would actually come unless there were bored after 1st coming to see the Praire Dogs. This side is a little more interesting , but alot of the course has had tree demolition without that actually debris removal and the creeks are only filled with trash and a fenceline near Joyland Amusement Park that isn't filtered , very depreciting atop the rock covered fairway. I would play here if the cost was $10 with a cart , on the weekend pricing ($10) simply because the parking area actually manifest where grass once was , just that vehicles kept parking over those areas and well paint jobs getting scratches or bumpers being dented is in high likely hood. read more

This course is worth the $. The layout gives you two choices-A Creek and a Canyon. Both will provide a challenge. If you only play country club golf then you may take exception but I have found it enjoyable thru the years with dogs right and left and enough elevation to keep you looking forward to the next hole. We'd all be considered rich if we had a dollar for all the tournaments played on this track. Folks keep coming back only because we love the game, love the challenge, and can afford the very reasonable green fees.Whenever I have walked away upset from Meadowbrook it was because my game didn't measure up that day not because the course didn't. played there yesterday, starting to get ready for City Championship. I can't believe this place is going to host the last big tournament of the year. Greens are ate up with poanna grass, they roll maybe a 4, slowest greens in town and bumpy.; I can deal with a poor golf course, but at least have good greens. read more
