I la la la laaaave this gorgeous, enchanting little gift shop. It leaves you bedazzled and…read moreenthralled, and wishing you had a slightly bigger limit on your credit card (seriously, £300 is *nothing*...). The Lavender Box combines beautiful jewellery (the likes of Pom, Coeur de Lion, Pilgrim), with stunning gifts (I spotted the cutest wooden Noah's Ark, and the animals all had their own places), and exquisite clothing / shoes. It truly has it all. The front section of the shop is home to the gifts, filled with fancy knick-knacks such as candles, ornaments, figurines, stationery etc., as well as the jewellery. Cabinet after cabinet bursting with the most dazzling jewellery (there was 20% off some items the day we were in, but I managed to behave myself). The back section of the shop is home to a beautiful range of very unique clothes. Not really my style, but very classy and elegant, with a bit of a retro feel to them. Alongside these lie a good range of Irregular Choice shoes, which, as most of you will know, are a gorgeously kitsch, and somewhat pricey shoe label (and to die for). Oooooh shoe lust... The owner / sales assistant was very friendly, though her attention was diverted to a customer who was trying on a pair of Irregular Choice boots, and couldn't make up her mind which colour to choose. Nevertheless, she spoke to us, and was very amiable, and I commended her for dealing with the Irregular Choice boot lady (jealous...), who obviously needed her help much more than I or my sister. La la la laaaave it even more now. Absence makes the heart grow fonder 'n' all that...

Forgefield Coffee Shop - Soup and goat cheese sandwich - both excellent.

Great veggie soups and nice outdoor space (4/5 Green Stars)…read more Forge Field has become a regular spot for lunch when in the area and it's always a pretty good experience. The soup is always vegetarian, by the way, and really constitutes and entire meal with you eat it with the bread. The soups usually pair a (very sustainable) root vegetable with a spice or herb, for example carrot and cumin or the excellent parsnip and thyme. The goat cheese sandwich is also highly recommended. Tarragon mushrooms on toast are a staple for mum - it's the one item from the breakfast menu that's available all day. I'm giving Forge Field 4 out of 5 Green Stars for social and environmental impact, for these reasons: · Family-run business that makes its own bread, bakery items, etc. · Reasonably good selection of vegetarian options. Could have more on the vegan front but they will accommodate vegans with off-menu items, if desired. · Good supporter of local ingredients and businesses. · If you look to the left side of the parking lot, you'll see a new milk dispensing machine from Feckin Clogher Milk. You can purchase bottles and then come back and refill them over and over.

We all got the full Irish Breakfasts, which were delicious. I'll be dreaming about their brown bread toasts for a long time! We also enjoyed purchasing baked goods (scones and mince pies) in the adjoining market on a couple of occasions, which were also wonderful. The shop was also well worth a visit.

Horrible, I insisted that I was just looking and that I absolutely wasn't robbing her of a 6 euro hula hoop. She continued to yell and be incredibly nasty to me until I chose to walk away from her consistent yelling. If you are going to have your merchandise out on the street, don't accuse and yell at your customers that they are stealing from you! Absolutely ridiculous and horrible customer service. Sick to my stomach from this horrid woman.

This amazing shop!…read moreI literally want every item in this store; you can find here the perfect gift for a special occasion, or splurge on a one-of-a-kind gift for yourself! Jewellery, funky cards, candles, toys and homeware are just a few of the amazing items sprinkled about! Prices are reasonable considering the setting and quality. I could be in a store like this for hours! Every time I come here I jump for joy, not physically but mentally..... because I am so excited with my great finds. Let me share with you my little great finds! I picked up Elf on the shelf on my last visit, my nephew loves it! Another item that I purchased was a funky mug! Friend of mine always complains about customers asking her silly questions, so when noticed this wee cup saying '' About that last request ...I'm just going to assume you're joking '' I knew I have to buy it! I recommend this place to everyone I know, I love it and have for years! If you haven't gone in before, for your sake, get in there, you will not regret!
