When I brought my child there who is now two at the time she was 6 months old... I had to take her here because I found out her previous at home daycare was mistreating her. My baby refused to take bottle anymore at 6 month of age and was not trusting anyone. When I brought her To Venus Childcare Learning Center they took the time with her and fed her my milk from a spoon for a week or two until she gained trust again. To hear everything they took the time to help my child really made me feel so rested and comfortable to know my child is now in good hands. The care there is outstanding. I also need to mention that this facility is affordable. Not only are you receiving great care for your children but at a rate that will work with your budget. I am very thankful I found this place!

Porsha will treat your child like one of their own children, and treat you like a long-time friend. It's a collaborative environment, in which teachers work with each child's strengths and weaknesses, then communicate ideas and solutions to the parent. The teachers always start the day with a plan but understand the importance of pivoting when something isn't working for an individual or the class.  Children are given a safe place to play and are encouraged to get messy. Sometimes a spontaneous dance party is exactly what the children need. We are sad to go to kindergarten this fall because we will miss this MAGICAL place with our favorite teachers, best friends, and wonderful memories.

My child attended this school for quite some time. To say that they need an improvement and to step…read moreup their game is an understatement. Lunch is provided only Monday - Thursday. Friday you are required to pack. They are constantly changing the classroom that your child is in (also changing the teacher) which becomes very confusing, not only for the child but for the parent as well. You never know where to drop off or pick up your child because again, they are switching rooms way too much. When you pick up your child, you can never find them, you must also search each room for their coat and belongings because NO ONE has any idea where they are!! And they never bother to help find them either. The teachers do not teach a meaningful curriculum, which is not their fault but I still needed to point out. The preschool program does not start until age 4, which only gives the child a year to learn the necessities they need before kindergarten. Which I feel is not enough time at all. In the time that my child attended here, I noticed no difference in his knowledge. In fact, I noticed that his behavior continued to get worse. Maybe due to the fact that there is no consistency in this school, or maybe the fact that he continued to get into trouble for petty things. ( for example, I received a Letter home that he had a bad day for trying to kiss a friend, and because he dropped a cookie and ate it off the floor). Typical 3 year old behavior. I complained at one point because he continued to come up with poopy underwear and no one would notice and change him (even though he stunk) and no one would help him to wipe to prevent this issue. Literally THE NEXT WEEK after I complained, I was bombarded with a meeting when I walked in for pickup stating that my child's behavior has been out of control for months and was basically given no choice by the owner and director but to get my child tested for special needs. What!?!? I was confused as to why his behavior WAS NEVER mentioned before. I can not tell you how much my son has improved since LEAVING this school. He knows his ABC's, he can count to 10 in Spanish, his behavior has improved DRAMATICALLY, he even comes home singing songs that he learned. The best thing about this school was our last day and never having to come back!!!! There are a few good teachers, but the director Ms. Wally and owner Ms. Liz just make this place hell in a hand basket. NOT the jack and Jill school that it used to be when I attended as a child! UPDATE: there was never a five star review and no one ever tried to "help" my child. If you consider forcing us to get him tested for special needs because he doesn't "behave like a normal three year old" (even though his pediatrician, special needs teacher that we spoke to, and multiple friends and family members said he is completely normal and actually advanced for his age!!) and having him come home crying everyday because his teacher was "mean to him" and he got in trouble for kissing a friend or eating the cookie off the floor that he dropped, if you consider that to be "helping him", then maybe you are the one that needs to be tested! This school helped with nothing but making our lives a nightmare for the last few months. I wish I had listened to the previous employee who warned me not to send my child here. Just beware!!

And as most of you know time is fleeting when you see your child grow. It doesn't hit you at once. It slowly envelopes you and brings realization that he's quickly growing up. This morning as I do I walk him to his school entrance door at 7:30 bc he wants to be the first one in. Just yesterday we did our usual routine of talking outside and me asking for one last hug and kiss. He walks thru the door and stands along the wall with some classmates and tells me not leave but to watch him walk down the hall...a city block long... every couple of feet he turns and waves, smiles and continues down until he is just a yellow fleece sleeve waving at me. Then this morning the door opens and he turns quickly and says "daddy, quick last hug and kiss" then through the door starts his walk. This time all alone. Walking confidently, so self assured, he was 6' tall like he was going to work. How does this happen? He's only 5. Just yesterday he was a tiny baby, we napped in the hot summer afternoon and now he doesn't need my hand.....I cherish every moment with him as if it were the last, telling stories under the covers, of two bluebirds that watch him play and talk about him....." We attribute his self assured level headed maturity to you and your program over his 1st 5 years. He is mow the sweetest boy, a good healthy 5 yr old. His passion for reading and creativity continues to grow every day. Thank you.

However, as a parent the most important thing when selecting a daycare was that the people who are caring for our child want to be there, and we feel this is the case at this center.
