This facility is situated next to the Ohio River floodwall and within view of the Sherman Minton Bridge in the downtown area. There are large parking lots on either side of the building with free access. The facility has large locker rooms, a lap pool, heated pool, and children's splash pad and fun water slides. Upstairs area has fitness machines, free weights, classrooms, and a walking track. This is my least favorite track of the local YMCA facilities visited because it is a quarter track and makes my ankles hurt with any worthwhile distance (more turns per workout). Large windows and expanses of glass make for a mood lifter when working out, so this plus balances out any minuses. Reception staff are very helpful and friendly.

I wish I could do 4.5 stars, but yelp has not caught up to that just yet. This place has plenty of racks, bikes, and even a 200 meter track. To seasoned Crossfiters that's a bonus, no wondering where the 400 or 800 meter marks are, we just have to count the laps by two. I am a seasoned CrossFiter and I know good coaching, mediocre and Trash. I only dealt with 3 while here and one was just once. All great coaches!! Different styles but all great coaches. The only reason I am dinging the gym .5 star is the programming. I am not a fan of mayhem and I really don't know why so many gyms follow it. I can see the good to it, but I can also see the not so great to it. It's better than CompTrain but a close second to me in my humble opinion. However this place really does have it all! Nice members and great coaches. I will definitely be back when I am in the area!

I really appreciate how clean & well-kept the entire park is. You can tell management really cares about their facility. I also really enjoy how affordable the food at the concession stand is. It's a massive facility that offers running lanes, long jump sand lanes, and a throwing area. Around the competitive areas are several bleachers and seating, some for spectators and some isolated to athletes only. From the bleachers we spotted several athletes warming up in a private space, away from those lining up for their event. We use this facility for outdoor events as well. What's found inside is repeated in their outside space. It's much more difficult to watch throwers outdoors due to the proximity of the competition area to the bleachers. Bathrooms are plentiful and clean. A concession stand with basics (chicken tenders, burgers, fries, nachos, etc) and an açaí station offers food and drinks if you're there for a long period. A large parking lot is available. We paid $10. You may be able to find street parking as an alternative. We also had to pay an entry fee to watch our son compete. My guess is entry fees are dependent upon event. Security was at the front to have us empty pockets and walk through a metal detector.

Sports complex - There are two baseball diamonds with covered dugouts for the players and bleachers for spectators. Adjacent to the diamonds are two regulation sized soccer fields with goals. There is also fields appropriate for younger athletes. Central to the complex is a concession stand run by volunteers in the community. A wide variety of beverages as well as snacks are offered. Some of these include sodas, juice, water, hotdogs, pretzels, nachos & warm cheese, etc. There are restrooms located in the same building as the concession stand. 2. Rachel's Fun For Everyone Park - This past year RFFEP became a reality to our community as well as its founder, Rachel Ritchie. The park is fenced in so as to contain the children and prevents them from running into the parking lot. The intention of the park is for our special needs friends within our town and neighboring towns as well. The equipment includes swings, slides, a rock-wall, seated zip-line, seesaws, tactile toys, benches and most importantly a soft surface pad to protect our friends from injuring themselves and allows wheelchairs/motorized/walking aides to travel safely from each piece of equipment. The park is for all of our little friends. 3. Parking - There are parking options available adjacent the park as well as the outside perimeter fence surrounding the soccer and baseball fields. 4. Picnic tables and over head cover are available for picnickers and travelers and are adjacent to recreational vehicle hookups. There is plenty of shade, walking areas and a stream that runs parallel to the park where people often fish. Each year the park hosts Vine Grove's Fall Festival, Bluegrass Festival, organized run/walks and other events. They have a soccer field that is maintained fairly well for youth soccer but the baseball field(s) are rarely used except for practice and a local match between police and fire fighters. Overall a good place to visit, but be wary of the loud train that comes by every once in a while. I would rate it 5 stars if it was not for the graffiti.
