My son received support from this company for over 2 years. In the beginning, we were incredibly pleased with his BCBA and her team. From day one, she not only made sure that we were actively involved in his treatment plan but also provided us with invaluable training on navigating IEPs and advocating for our son.
However, when his BCBA had to take a leave of absence, less than a month after her departure we noticed a shift in the office atmosphere. The staff, who had initially been very supportive and came and met us face to face seemed more transactional and passive. We tried to work with them and even attempted to raise our concerns by requesting a meeting with the fill-in BCBA and the Executive Director, but unfortunately, they rejected it. Which was a surprise as our family had been with them for two years and never had a negative experience prior.
In the end of our attempts the Director finally indicated that we couldn't ask about any therapist credentials, and essentially they didn't have time to talk to us face to face leaving the receptionist to relay, "Things had changed and gave us the option to accept it or move on and also don't forget to close out your bill.
So while this is disheartening to have to find a new center and leave the original BCBA who poured into our son, we believe that the current staff overseeing this establishment could benefit from improvements, which overshadows the good you may temporarily perceive. We disenrolled our son because he's not a check and he deserves quality over convenience. For parents who are highly involved in their child's treatment, and like to know their child's team, etc. I recommend carefully evaluating alternate centers, and READ how old the reviews are about this center as they talk about the old staff. read more
