Spent $600 for this style. The photos were taken less than 48hours after install…read more I showed them reference photos before booking and made it clear what style I wanted. The salon confirmed they could do it. I was charged $200 more specifically because the braids size I requested was considered "extra small" The install took over 12 hours. The photos attached were taken two days after leaving the salon. They show: * Inconsistent, uneven parts * Significant frizz throughout * Unraveling, split ends across multiple braids * Braids noticeably thicker than extra small, what was requested and paid for I feel embarrassed and taken advantage of. I'm embarrassed to even repeat how much I paid for this. When I raised my concerns, a redo was offered. I declined..the salon is over an hour away and would require another full day off of work for another 12+ hour install. I requested a partial refund instead. That was ignored, and I was eventually offered a discount on a future service. A discount is not a resolution, it's a tactic to get me back in the salon. The photos say everything I won't.

On the website it says to bring your own bundles for the boho pieces. On the day of my appt I arrived 10 minutes early...no one was there. But I seen the IG active and posting on their story. I called and texted for 30 minutes before getting a response back that someone will be arriving "soon" bc they forgot their salon key. My appt started 45 mins past my schedule start time. Then the service provider was completely unaware of what she was supposed to be doing to my hair. The wash and blow dry was pretty rough. I showed her pictures, from their IG profile of the large twists I wanted. she informed me that the ones in the inspo pics were medium... once we finally found a reference pic for large twists (on tik tok) we agreed and I gave her my bundles for the boho she then proceeds to tell me I can't use the hair I brought (no reasoning given) and asks if I would like to purchase hair from them... I decline. By the end of the appt she ended up giving me boneless twists! The parts were HUGE with twiggy, skinny twists bc she didn't use enough braiding hair. I wanted a deep scalp cleanse and treatment. I had major product buildup and used heavy oils and wanted to finally invest in scalp health. I did not know how much it would be going into it. I spent $100 deposit online and understood because of my long hair it would be extra. While June did a great job on my scalp, I do not think the scalp treatment was worth $450. However, afterwards she roughly brushed my hair and blow dried it after, which I didn't want. I only finger detangle due to how fragile my hair can be and I left with so much breakage. I wanted to leave with my 2c/3a curls but when she was diffusing it was clear my curls would be a frizzy mess, so June switched to blowing them out. My hair was so frizzy and poofy by the time I got home 20 mins later, I had to totally redo it. I was disappointed with the experience and will have to look elsewhere going forward.

My hair was shoulder length in 1999, and now it is about 5-6 inches above my waistline, and my hair has not been this long since I was a child. Other salons that I have been to didn't cater to the client - and the service was totally unprofessional. At BSS I feel taken care of and I always leave feeling great about my hair and my total appearance (June makes me look great!). Even my husband loves when I go to get my hair done :0). I came in excited to get a cute, boho bob for summer. I booked with a stylist who had availability and is also the owner's daughter, Breana , so I felt confident she could deliver the look I wanted. The appointment started off well, and we had a nice time. But toward the end--especially around the front perimeter of my hair--it felt rushed. I assumed the curls would fall into place, and initially, the style looked nice. But within two days, the entire back row of braids unraveled. I reached out to the stylist, and she told me that shouldn't have happened but offered to fix it. We agreed to meet again on Tuesday at 1 PM. I brought two friends with me to make sure everything was handled properly, but the stylist showed up 15 minutes late and reminded me she was squeezing me in and pushing back other appointments to accommodate me. She fixed the back row, but as I pointed out other braids that were unraveling, she just redipped them in hot water--no technique or method to actually secure them--and unsurprisingly, they came undone again. More braids in the front and on the sides started unraveling in the following days. I've seen this style done well on short hair, with proper techniques to secure it. That wasn't done here. At one point, I was also nearly burned with hot water, which added to the discomfort. When I was leaving, I asked the stylist if she could fix the braids in the front that were already coming loose. She told me she had another appointment and could not accommodate me. Instead, she referred me to her mother, the salon owner, for any further help. What made things worse was that I was repeatedly blamed for the issues because I asked for short hair--something very common with boho bob styles. If the stylist didn't feel confident doing it, she could have just declined the request rather than doing it poorly and shifting the blame onto me. Even after one return visit, my hair still looked bad. I had tipped after the first appointment because it looked decent at first, but I expected better quality and service when I came back. I reached out to the owner and asked for a 40% refund of the $255 I paid (including tip) so I could get it redone elsewhere. Instead, I was told my only options were to go to court or let her redo my hair--but by then, I didn't feel comfortable or safe returning. I also felt gaslit--like the situation was somehow my fault--when in reality, stylists with proper technique can do this style correctly. I don't like leaving negative reviews, but I think it's important to be honest. For the money I spent, I expected professional work and lasting results--not to spend over a week dealing with unraveling braids and no resolution. I won't be returning, and I hope this helps others make an informed choice.
