You see, despite its fear-inducing name, Brazilian Waxing Co does more than just your ladygarden. I've been coming here since it opened a couple of years ago, for various treatments but one in particular. Eyebrow threading. If you haven't heard of it, or you're not sure what it is, you only need to know three things: one, it's quicker than plucking, and more precise than waxing; two, it lasts longer; and three, it really, really bloody hurts! But it is so worth it; when I'm done with my threading, I look in the mirror and the pain instantly fades; all I can think of is how great my eyebrows look. As any girl will tell you, a good eyebrow lifts the face. The threading treatments I have had here have always been top-notch, excellent value at £7 and I would recommend it as the best place for threading in Manchester. The only place that tops it is a salon I visit when I'm in London. So, if you need your eyebrows done, you know where to go, but what of the rest of their treatments? Well, I'm not gonna go into too much detail for the faint hearted amongst you, but the bikini waxing service is efficient and they try and make you as comfortable as possible. There's no need to be embarrassed, these girls have seen thousands of downstairses, and they'll see thousands more. What makes me slightly uncomfortable is the design of the shop and treatment rooms, which are basically enclosed booths. The walls don't reach all the way to the ceiling, and sound carries pretty well, so it's hard to relax completely. The basic bikini wax is £10, Brazilian £20, and they'll take it all off for £25 (in for a penny, in for a pound, as my wise old nan might say). In terms of what else they wax; pretty much whatever you want. Arms, legs, tummies, chins. And yes, boys, they do offer the back, sack and crack, at an eye-watering (you're not wrong there...) £50. They also do lash and brow tinting for both genders (in case your manscara isn't quite cutting it...) So if you've got unwanted hair, anywhere, get down to Brazilian Waxing Co.

She was very quick and gentle and very friendly that my daughter abdilutely loved the servise and now has smooth legs . She loves her shorts and wearing her swimming costume. I booked an appointment with Nicola for the BCS wax, I have had my back waxed a few times before and really like the feeling of putting a shirt on after. I have never had the C & S done and on the drive over decided against it. When I entered Bare waxes studio we talked and Nicola came across extremely confident in her abilities which made me relax. After filling in some paper work for medical condition Nicola directed me to the waxing room and asked me to take my top off while she left the room. On her return she explained to me how the procedure would take place, telling me she would start on my back then my abbs moving on to my underarm. OK the abs are the most painful but bearable. She then asked me to undress fully again while she left the room (yes she had made me feel very relaxed and I had changed my mind again). OMG when I looked down to my never regions it looked like they had been treated with ice water. So I laid on the bed wishing that I would grow back just a little. I was really nervous about this part of the waxing and it showed! I had read thing on the internet about men getting aroused! Ha ha LOL not in my case and I can't really see anyone being able to while getting waxed! Nicola returned knocking on the door, where she again explained what she was going to do. She removed the towel and asked me to pull my penis to one side and started the wax. The pain was nowhere near as bad as my abs and we talked all the way through the treatment. The best part of Bare wax is Nicola's professional confident personality that put me at ease from start to finish. I waited 6 weeks as Nic suggested! I did get a rash locally in some areas but this was minimal compared with other salons I have used and only lasted a week or so and only once the hair started growing back. The hair growth was reduced to much more than expectation. I went on holiday a few days after my 1st treatment and was surprised to see how many men reduced their body hair growth. Most of the boys were with their girlfriends,It was like when you buy a new car hardly see one until you purchased one then they are everywhere! 2nd session with Nic was a little more relaxed on my part but Nic was as ever professional in her approach, leaving me to undress at each stage and knocking to see if i was ready. She explained the hair growth was still random and it would take a few treatments to get them to grow back at the same rate. The treatment was much quicker this time around as the hair was growth was reduced and shorter. The pain on the areas I had been waxed on before was a lot less and we managed to hold a conversation with only the odd ouch. My wife Jade inspected her work muck closer this time and booked an appointment, after her wax.
