They had been on-site for roughly 2.5 hours total. When they left, the lead claimed they had clocked two hours. The bill later charged us for the full time the truck was at our property (via GPS tracking), regardless of whether the crew was actually working. They also stated that the return visit would have a two-hour minimum. At $195 per hour for a three-man crew, this adds up very quickly for incomplete work. Finally got a hold of them on Tuesday, and the receptionist/scheduler, Sierra, told us that the "sprinkler individual" didn't have time and couldn't get to it either of those days. No call to let us know, no explanation, and no apology or offers to come out another day. We asked when they could come out again, and they said Friday, and the same thing happened. We rescheduled 4 different times, and they made us wait ANOTHER WEEK between each new appointment. Each time we didn't receive any sort of call or follow up afterwards, and had no idea what had happened. Because it was a rental we had to keep sending people out to see if they actually did anything. Finally, our property manager told us that the hole we dug ourselves around the sprinkler was filled, many weeks after we initially called Utah Valley Lawn Care. Still, no follow up or contact from the company at all. Two weeks later we got a very basic bill (sent to the rental property, not us), and it didn't list anything other than parts and labor, and with different rates than we'd agreed upon. Approximately 3 months ago, Turf Plus was aerating my neighbors lawn and hit our fence with their machine. In turn causing damage to our fence that needed repair. I called Turf Plus immediately after it happened, and came to an agreement on the cost of repairs for the fence. Turf Plus shortly after sent us a check for $100 and we repaired our fence, after all accidents happen. Last week I scheduled an appointment with them to service our lawn. Told them what times I would be available and scheduled it for the following Friday. Friday morning, I called and spoke with the receptionist before the technicians left and told her that I needed them to come in the morning instead of before 1 PM or after 4 PM. She told me that it was fine, that she would have the technician call me. The technician called me a half an hour later, to tell me she would be coming to service the lawn between 5-7 PM. I told her that the time would not work, that no one would be home. She then asked me to leave my fence open, so she could still come. I explained it was not possible with our dogs and that we would not be returning soon enough for them to be let back outside. She then stated that I needed to reschedule for the following week, I told her that I couldn't because I will be having a baby. She told me to call the receptionist and see if I could be rescheduled. I called the receptionist and explained the situation to her. She told me she would call me back. Shortly after, I received a text message, not a call back. The message stated, "Hi Mrs. Shepherd this is Dana the manager with Turf Plus. I'm sorry we're unable to please you. Please find another company to service your lawn." I was shocked! They didn't even try to reschedule me! I called the receptionist back, Dana answered the phone. I asked him if he thought is was appropriate to send me a text, he stated that it seemed like I was unhappy. I explained to him the several conversations that I had, had with the other employees earlier, which he was unaware of. That I would have preferred to have been rescheduled, to which he replied that I couldn't the following week. I agreed and told him I was having a baby, but that I wasn't going to be in the hospital for forever. He then stated that they weren't making any money on our business, because he paid us for our fence they had damaged a few months back. I told him, that their technician breaking our fence had nothing to do with me, that we were still continuing to do business with them, and the amount that they paid us was their offer, not mine! Anyway, needless to say, we are no longer doing business with them. Unfortunate that it is poorly managed and due to improper communication between their staff.
