These guys are scam artists. They used to come out and turn on our sprinklers every spring for no charge if we use them to turn off and blow out our sprinklers in the fall. (which they charge outlandish fees). Now they say they don't do that anymore and sent out an email (which is a lie cause I nor other others that use them got the email). They want $80 to turn on my sprinklers. What a joke I can turn them on for free! read more

At first I was very impressed with this company. Quick and easy to schedule with, they had a tech out to our home in about an hour. Cons: once the tech arrived, we made him aware it was new sod that was overgrown and we needed one mow to get it under control. The tech did NOT walk the grounds at all, he proceeded to mow it without us or him being aware the ground was too squishy. The riding mower got stuck and absolutely ate up one third of our new lawn. We understand mishaps happen, however once it was noticed that no mower was going, we went outside to see that they had just left. Not one person, tech or foreman, thought to knock on the door and explain to us or show us the massive damage. What was mowed is left covered in dead grass debris. Somebody from the office called and let us know that we wouldn't be charged. Which is appreciated. However we were met with excuses, they could come back and clean their mess... for a price. It now looks like we will need to grade, add soil and new sod to an area. This was entirely due to their technicians negligence. Not one offer of being willing to right their wrong. Zero accountability and zero professionalism. read more

I scheduled an appt with them a few weeks out since they were pretty booked.. the day of the appt, I rearranged my work schedule so I could be home but they never showed up.. I ended up texting them, see what was going on and the girl said they got their schedule pushed back a day so they would be here the following morning. Once again, I moved my work meeting around to be able to be home.. I waited all morning with no one coming. I left for work around noon, and I sent them a message again, and the girl said they were on their way. When I said I wouldn't be home, she told me they would either have to do it with me gone or I'd have to reschedule for 4 weeks out. There is zero communication, and professionalism with the girl I worked with. The company could be all great like their website says, but it isn't worth working with someone so unprofessional and lacking in respect for coming to someone home to do a job without working with the customers schedule. Especially when it comes to home projects you want done correctly. read more

Had my lawn care services transferred from a different company that was discontinuing lawn care service. They arranged to continue my same weekly mowing services for the same price. All was well for the first couple weeks until they just stopped coming, but I continued to be charged. I figured they were just behind and would be by later in the week to get the work done. Nope. Didn't show. This continued for two weeks. I reached out to them and was refunded for the two weeks of services not provided, and they did make an effort to come out in two days to get the work done. I was happy they got my yard done, but realized they charged me almost double for one visit. Same amount of work as usual. When I reached out to figure out what was going on, someone named Freddy got upset at me because of the previous refunds I was given and told me he would refund the most recent charge (which I didn't ask for) but they were done with me and I would have to find someone else to take care of my yard. It's obvious the company has taken on more business than they can handle, and my experience with them has been horrible. I was blamed for their continued mistakes and was treated like I was trying to take advantage of them. If they had simply done what they agreed they would do in the first place there would be no issue. Fortunately there's a vast number of companies that can actually show up and do what they have agrees to on a weekly basis. Will be moving on and recommend anyone looking to hire lawn thumbs look elsewhere first. read more

I have given this company several opportunities to provide a good experience as I have struggled with them several times trying to let things go and trying to give them work. The quality of work by the lawn mowers has been fine, they were showing up and the grass was being cut. However making any requests or service time adjustments are met with a surprising amount of attitude from the office that is completely unprofessional and unnecessary. I spoke directly to Rachel who said she was a manager, who actually laughed at me when I asked for the manager... but did not give off any characteristics of someone in that position, low performance issues. I had the mowers show up surprisingly at 7am out mowing my lawn while the sprinklers are still running. The grass was all saturated and not standing up enough to mow anything off which will look terrible when the grass dries out. No effort to communicate of an early arrival (always inconsistent) and no willingness to make note that an earlier time in the future would fix the problem. Options were available since others in the neighborhood use the service, as she informed me, but still put out to even look at the schedule and make adjustments.... Just easier for her to have people go somewhere else then take the time to make a few adjustments and provide any kind of customer service. Takes months to find a customer and only moments to lose one especially being treated like that. If customer service even at the lowest level is important to you, I would not use this company. I also would hope that the owner takes some time following up on how customers are being treated. I'm sure he/she cares about losing business due to their interaction with the person answering the phone. read more

I have worked alongside this company and they have great service! Being a plumber a lot of customers ask me if I work on yard sprinkler systems. I do know how but it's not something plumbers usually take care of. (And honestly not a price you want to pay for sprinkler work) I have recommended these guys to my own customers and have had good feedback about their work. read more

The guys at Lawn Thumbs know their business. My lawn looks great and they really care.

When they came to service our property they did not pick up the clippings which made the property look unkept. We requested to have the weeds pulled which they did not do. We also requested four weeks straight to have someone come to get our sprinklers up and running and no one came. Our grass started to turn brown and we had to hire another company to come in and save our property. read more

I requested that they come back and simply fix the problem (of which they admitted to and I have pictures) however, instead they told me find someone else and gave me back my money. I wanted them. We had Lawn Thumbs come and aerate our lawn today. They far exceeded all my expectations. My wife gave them a call expecting a turnaround within a few days and they let us know that they could be here the same day to do the aeration. They arrived and did a great job and did so very quickly. They were very courteous and professional in their communications. I forgot to ask for a receipt of payment so I went to their website and sent them a quick email asking if they could email me something. Within 5 minutes I had an initial email back and within ~1 hour I had a receipt in my email inbox. They have been very impressive and seem like a very honest and hard-working group to work with. As a single father, I just do not have time to raise my kids, keep up with the home, and maintain a lawn and garden. Eager to find some help I contacted Lawn Thumbs for assistance maintaining my gardens. They did a great job with the spring clean-up, and I was eager to have them help me with the weekly clean-up. Unfortunately, the spring clean-up was my last positive experience. No one showed up at all for the first half of the summer (apparently due to a miscommunication) which resulted in a large cost to get the gardens back to where they should have been. After this second clean-up, my gardens were very quickly once again over-run with weeds with little to show for the service being provided. My last bill was for five hours of service, when my gardens were completely filled with weeds... with little to show for the work that supposedly took place. At this point I cancelled the service, and will try to find another service provider. I did appreciate that they refunded my last invoice when I cancelled. Freddy was great, but the service just couldn't live up to what was promised. The costs quoted were a bit high, but acceptable, but not at all worth the work that was performed (other than the spring clean-up). I take a lot of pride in my yard, and usually get a lot of compliments and requests for referrals. Although I regret it, this is just not a recommendation I could make for anything more than the spring clean-up. read more

I love Freddy and his crew! Lawn Thumbs came the day I hired them and mowed, trimmed, fertilized, sprayed the weeds, trimmed the bushes and tweaked the sprinklers! they are keepers! I would recommend them to all of my friends! Very Professional and hard workers. read more
