9/21/20 I recently…read moreconcluded an outdoor living transition project with Bogart Masonry. The project had lots of miscellaneous aspects to it but focused on removing and repairing old concrete defects, pouring new concrete in various areas of my yard that were previously dirt, and installing outdoor tile on top of old and new concrete to create a uniform, contemporary hardscape. Proper sloping and drainage were a challenging and important part of the effort given the impacted area was significant and had an existing pool centrally located within it. It was a great experience and they did a great job! My outdoor space looks wonderful! Jared Bogart, who owns the company, was excellent to work with. He was honest and trust-worthy, organized, pragmatic, flexible (e.g., not bothered at needing to work around an issue I had for a bit of time), calm, fun to talk with, and a very strong communicator (e.g., regularly did check-ins and updates with me, educated me on the process and various topics along the way, responded quickly to texts or calls, and ensured any concerns or questions I raised were being appropriately addressed in a timely way). His on-site leaders (Elias & Damien) and their teams were also excellent. I was consistently impressed with the skill they demonstrated in tackling their craft and transitioning my hodge-podge of landscape surfaces into a beautiful outdoor living space. Their consistently friendly demeanor (despite the very hot summer sun they worked in), positive attitude, genuine desire to quickly address any questions or potential concerns I had so that I was happy, and focus on making my yard look beautiful was great. I regularly felt the work quality standard they applied to doing my home, which was very high, was the same they would have used on their own place. Working with Bogart Masonry was a very positive experience. I will use them again the next time I have a need and encourage you to consider them for your project.

In June I asked several masonry companies to prepare proposals for two new 400 square foot patios…read morearound my Palm Springs condo. The existing pavers (set in mortar on a concrete slab) were cracked, the patios did not drain correctly, and I had no irrigation lines for the flowerbeds. I contracted with Jared Bogart of Bogart Masonry to complete the work. Bogart broke up and removed the old patios, re-graded the areas (eliminating an odd slope in the middle of one of the patios), installed the pavers in sand with concrete edging, installed two automatic drip systems, and placed decorative boulders where I wanted them. The job was difficult in that one of the patios faces a golf course and has no street access. This required the workers to lift all the old concrete and pavers, as well as significant excess dirt, manually over two garden walls and then into wheelbarrows to the street. The new sand, decomposed granite and pavers had to be lifted into the back patio the same way. Bogart completed the entire job ahead of time and within budget. I was kept in the loop at every step and only went to the job site when decisions had to be made regarding patio dimensions or irrigation system placement. Jared Bogart went out of his way to ensure that all exterior condo windows and walls were protected and that I was satisfied with the work. The project was left totally clean and neat, and the HOA President had nothing but good things to say about the workers and the job. I can heartily recommend Jared Bogart and Bogart Masonry to anyone looking for top quality masonry installation.

Guillermo was very patient with all my questions and took the time to explain every step of the way. The Desert Pride team completed the project within the proposed time frame. They were professional and respectful. I highly recommend Desert Pride and plan to use them again for my future projects.

My wife and I could not be more pleased with our "relationship" with Desert Pride Construction…read more Their workmanship, timeliness, level of communication and pricing exceeded our hopes. After requesting an estimate thru Yelp, we were immediately contacted by Desert Pride's owner and then our Project Manager, Ruben Aceves. Ruben called to discuss our project and then came out to our home within a day. He was extremely polite and accommodating, yet unassumingly confident. He listened, asked some questions, made some very insightful recommendations, took some pictures and sent us a solid estimate as promised. Once we retained them, Ruben was our phenomenal daily point of contact. He worked with us closely to understand and meet our every wish. He came to the house every day and texted throughout the day to let us know who was coming, when and what to expect. Ruben was so knowledgeable and laid back that he gave us advice on things we were considering doing outside their scope of work. (i.e. new front doors thru Home Depot and some flooring thru a friend of a friend.) The project turned out more beautifully than we imagined. Everything was completed on time and there were no surprises on pricing or timeliness. Even when we changed our minds on some of the details, Ruben didn't flinch or hit us up with a change order. I can't promise that everyone will get such amazing treatment, because we're just one customer, but I'll never consider anyone other than Desert Pride for any future needs.

Mind you, I had three walls I wanted done. Well, to do all three was a lot more than I expected. But, I had contacted five people about the project and Brickdancer was one of the three that returned my inquiry. Another was cheaper, but I didn't get the sense they were reliable, since it took two weeks for him to come out and another week to get a bid in, after I reminded him. Another told me that he just didn't want to do the work. He said it was a lot of work and he didn't want to be on one job for so long. Brickdancer was the sole company that felt good, and I'm so glad I went with him! There was no worry about anything, as Lee kept me informed the whole way. During the project, Lee would let me know what was done, what was planned, and he gave great advice. The job started and finished without interruption. They work fast, did the filling with the City, got the permit and inspections, and kept the area clean. Fact is, Lee was so great that I added to the project and had him pour a new driveway. I do have more to do, but I have other work that needs to happen first. Once the next concrete and wall project is ready, I won't call for bids. I will call Brickdancer.

The quality of the work is excellent and was done quickly in the time frame we discussed. The crew was super friendly and did a great job cleaning up when the walls were done. They did source the blocks for us, which was also helpful, I wouldn't have known how much material was needed. We love the entryway and would absolutely work with Brick Dancer again if we did any other brick or block projects.
