This place is SUCH A VIBE! The instructor was so motivational and inspiring! I was drenched by the end of the 45 minute workout and felt so amazing after!

Let me add another glowing 5-star review to this cycling studio! Everyone we've met has been incredibly friendly and welcoming- whether it be the instructors, front desk staff, or other members! When they say they're a studio "where cardio meets culture", it's not just an empty marketing statement. There are no snobby vibes here and you'll see people of all different fitness levels in class. Despite being in downtown where parking is usually a headache, they have a full parking lot behind their studio. No parallel parking skills or hourly payments needed! The studio itself is gorgeous with plenty of lockers (all free to use), three showers, and four or so vanities to use post-workout. They've also got a mini smoothie bar out in the lobby! Classes are an absolute blast and it's amazing how quickly the 45 minutes fly by. The bike seats are comfortable and there is tiered seating so everyone can easily see the instructor. They have coordinated music and lights for every class (they provide earplugs if you are sensitive to loud music!) which makes it such a fun workout. Personally, I prefer the loud music because 1) it pumps me up 2) it drowns out my heavy breathing haha. Other things to know: Make sure you arrive early- they recommend 15 minutes before the actual class time. Cycling shoes are provided for free if it's your first time, otherwise they cost $2 to rent. I'd recommend sizing up if you have wider or flat feet as they are structured a bit narrow! If you haven't been cycling before, make sure you have someone help you with setting up your bike- clicking in and out of your pedals can also take some getting used to. Finally, don't forget your water bottle- ideally one that you can use one-handed!

Man what an incredible space, staff and class. I've been to other spin studios but mcycle stands out as exceptional. +easy parking +quick and easy +clean, modern space with lockers and showers +Erin the 7am instructor kicked my but +nice bikes, lighting and music Will definitely put mcycle on the schedule when I visit for a tough workout and great start to my day

I've been going to Mcycle for over a year and I love it. The aesthetic of the space is light and energetic. I like the big garage-style doors in the common areas that let in fresh air (only on warm days, of course). I really like that Mcycle has their bikes setup stadium-style. This allows everyone in the room to see the instructor, and not just the front row. I've been to other studios where everyone is on the same level and it sucked being in the back because you couldn't see. The staff and instructors are friendly and easy to talk to. The classes are hard, but I always feel accomplished when I'm done. Go a few times and you'll find instructors whose music you like. I'd never do 45 minutes of hard cardio on my own, but when the music is good and the instructor is pushing you, you get into the zone and it's a lot of fun.

This studio is THE nicest and most spacious for cycling! I love how open it is with plenty of room to get your shoes on and off near the lockers and tons of mirror space to get ready. They have super clean showers with what you need to get on with your day. Another awesome perk of this place is the convenient parking lot! I just wish they provided free shoe rentals, but maybe I'll invest in my own eventually. The actual spin room is the largest of any other studio I've been to in Utah and with a really nice lighting and sound setup. I love that there is a rider next to the instructor to help demonstrate the choreography, so that you're able to follow along from anywhere in the room. I'll definitely be back and I'm so happy they are part of the freeplay app!

MCycle is just what I needed! Solid workout to start your day with or finish. I loved MARI's class. Go! She has a really good music selection. Her reggae rides are so fun! All of the staff is great-especially Richmond and Megan. They run a tight ship and make you feel at home. Reserve your class soon-you won't regret it.

This is the best new studio in Salt Lake City with some of the very best instructors as well. It's right downtown in a revamped industrial space. The cycle stadium is incredible and there is no bad seat in the house. Speaking of seats, I've been indoor cycling for years & these bikes have the best & most comfortable seats! Not that you'll be sitting in them for long! The music, energy and choreography the instructors bring are unmatched. Each class is fun, challenging & uplifting. I'm loving the classes & energy this studio brings. They also have three full (and fully stocked!!!) private shower rooms and six beautifully lit vanity areas if you need to go right to work or elsewhere after class. You'll need the showers! I leave each class drenched, energized & uplifted.

Joy left EOS. Against my better judgement I allowed them to book me with a new therapist because I was locked into contracts (they kept making me sign new ones instead of moving to a weekly or monthly fee which is a giant red flag. They first scheduled me with a new therapist without even notifying me until I saw a text saying "hey are you showing up". I then allowed them to put me with a replacement therapist no-call no-showed a scheduled appointment on March 3rd with zero communication. I immediately requested cancellation and a refund for my six unused sessions. It took 26 days and three escalation emails before anyone responded. The district manager's reply acknowledged the sessions are unused and available but refused to refund them essentially telling me to either use them with a stranger who knows nothing about my body, or lose what I paid for (hundreds of dollars). Three contracts honored in full on my end. When they lost their trainer, they expected me to absorb the consequence. That's not how you treat loyal customers. I would have expected them to do the right thing, disappointed.

9/7 Update: Cathy Waters, the Manager of The Gym has terminated my contract and had me escorted…read morefrom The Gym because of my honest and thorough review. I've worked out at Golds, Eos, Vasa, Planet, and 24 in the last few years. This is my second time being a member of The Gym and I'm regretting it more than the first time. The Gym is by far the worst managed gym out of all the choices you have along the Wasatch front and at their price point I expect a lot more. Entrances: there are two entrances to the gym. One on Regent Street with two elevators that go to the third floor where the gym is located. These doors lock in the late afternoon causing you to be forced to use the second entrance further north. This entrance is accessed through the busiest elevator at the mall. Expect to wait 3-5 minutes during prime time or even more during the holidays. The gym itself: It's dirty, poorly managed, and the equipment isn't maintained well. Here is a list of things currently broken or needing attention: Hip abductor linkage is worn out and causes lots of play making it unusable. I pointed this out to maintenance staff in June. Still not fixed. 9/5/20 Seated leg curl has been broke for three weeks. 9/5/20 Handles on lateral raise machine won't adjust making it difficult to use depending on your height and frame size. They tried a cheap fix by putting oversized bolts in it but actually made it worse as now the handles don't adjust at all. 9/5/20 The 5 lb adjustment on the laying leg curl Machine is missing the non-removable spring loaded pin. Currently there's some random pin in it that you can completely remove allowing the weight to drop unexpectedly. 9/5/20 Multiple incline benches are missing their knobs making adjusting the bench difficult and risk pinching your fingers. 9/5/20 Worn out, cracking vinyl on multiple benches. 9/5/20 The foot plate on the calf raise machine is missing 2/3 bolts holding it on the machine and is very loose. If that last bolt shears off like the other two, someone gonna get hurt. 9/5/20 Both non-removable pins on the lat pull down machines are missing and have random pins from other machines in them allowing for lots of play when you use it. 9/5/20 Worn out pads on pat pull down. These have been like this since 2018. 9/5/20 The north decline bench presses is missing a pad making it unusable. 9/5/20 One of the two stair masters isn't level and wobbles while you're using it. I'm writing this review on it now. Wobble wobble wobble with every step. 9/5/20 Emergency stop button on stair master doesn't work. They covered it up with black electrical tape instead of replacing the button. 9/5/20 The two spin bikes in the Cardio Cinema are unusable. 9/5/20 Vibration Plate hasn't worked for over a year. 9/5/20 Multiple drinking fountains are missing activation buttons. 9/5/20 Steam room in men's locker room has been broken for well over a month. 9/5/20 It's always hot as hell. As I wrote this review, it's 76 degrees in the area with all the cardio machines. 9/5/20 This gym could be great but it needs better management and some capital investment instead of it being used as a cash cow like it is now.

I add my voice to the countless others in stating that The Gym has great potential under proper…read moremanagement. The space is large, with many desired amenities, and a great equipment selection (although under serious decay). This was the gym that Salt Lake needed, when it first opened. However, maintenance and the addressing of member concerns are of little concern to Cathy, the manager. The Gym has an unfortunate monopoly, allowing the institution to move forward with little consequence, paying no heed to member-realized issues. They rely heavily on large company contracts, giving little concern to those of us who individually pay for this "premium" space. There is a full-time maintenance manager, I repeat a FULL-TIME maintenance personal, but you would never know it. The facility to sorely under-kept. The showers are molding, in desperate need of a cleaning and re-caulking. Equipment will remain under "repair" for weeks on end, and up until recently, the space was filthy. They have recently hired a seemingly full-time cleaner, Claire, who is a sweetheart and does a wonderful job in dusting and wiping down equipment. However, after so many years of neglect and lack of concern, management has allowed a culture of not cleaning up mutual work spaces to grow. Weights and other items are left strewn everywhere. Towels are often ripped and should be referred to as a hand-towel as they are barely large enough to wrap around one's body. The hot tub has been down for over two months, and the steam room has been non-functioning for over two weeks, with no notice or email sent to members keeping us abreast on the situation, offering apologies for the inconvenience. Instead time and resources are focus on silly line-items such as ensuring the light in the sauna stays on and is bright enough to perform open-heart surgery, or ordering hideous, unnecessary furniture and art. Further evidence of mismanagement is seen in the fact that they have a very difficult time keeping employees. Workers seem to stick around but a moment. I am anxious to see their monopoly pedestal erode with Eos announcing its move to purchase the 24hr fitness space in trolley square, opening 2024. You've got a year Cathy, to show us how great this gym can be, otherwise you'll watch as all the gays take our business to a cleaner, newer space. It's also key to note that I'm posting this review, concerned that I will be revoked of my membership for letting my voice be heard. I should never feel as such, under any circumstance.
