There isn't any water in the fitness center so you have to leave to go to the office to get some or the bathrooms. Traffic in the area is a mess so plan on sitting on the 2 lanes roads for a minute. Internet connection is always struggling. The showers are beautiful but while the looks were focused on, the plumbing was not. The water gets luke warm at best.

Still not reliable in September 2025. The new owner(s) had a swimming pool installed and that has been a difference maker. Many of us have enjoyed the pool. The storage (STORAGE) units are a decent size and price but come with severe dust and dirt and critters. In one winter we caught 5 mice and one snake. No telling how many other critters stayed rent free - there was evidence of more than we saw and caught. The lawn/grass/weeds is now the greatest competitor for enjoying our longer term stay here. There are three primary forms of stay for long term patrons and only one for over nighters or short term patrons. Long term have options: 1. No cover awning with gravel spot. 2. Covered awning with a gravel spot and last 3. Covered with a 50' x 20' concrete slab. While short term patrons have a pull in/out open spot - but very near the pool. The Park has a community room that is very nice and available for rent but rarely used. In the very far back there are extra large RV storage spaces that can be used for other things in addition to RV's. MAIL is a huge challenge here - the local Post Master claims every resident at this park is a transient and will NOT allow mail or other items to be delivered. I've talked directly to "her" and she is 100% in the right - regardless of what she thinks or interprets the law to be. Just ask her - she would not consider any other option other than NO MAIL to any RV at this park. I have lived in multiple RV Parks and each one has a mail slot available to every RV Spot - she will not allow that. When I made that statement, she did not flinch and said that did not align with the Postal rules. Sounds very outdated and not in line with the direction of the USA Citizens. (This is all my opinion). Weeds and grass are out of control here along with ants; mice and what appears to be roaches (all outside). We are working on what we can, to make it homey but also paying a lot of money for our spot - too much to be covered with weeds and critters. The Park Management seems to be working hard trying to keep up but is challenged.

Texas Star RV park located 6380 N McDonald Street If I could…read moregive this place a minus 3 stars I would. There are 6 pads with a view of junk, old vending machines, deceased ice machines and for most of the time a overflowed dumpster. There is an incredible amount of poopie underneath the crab grass that my dog keeps trying to eat. There is NO wifi, no laundry facilities, no mail delivery, a big warehouse building,no street lights, no office and you are surrounded by mostly the most junky, POS , decrepit RVs. There are 6 pads. Additionally, the owner does nothing to stop people outside of the park from using the dumpster so it gets filled up fast overflows and is nasty.She charged as $40.00 a night and appears to charge on a sliding scale depending on what she thinks you can afford. Another full time resident here said she was charging 2 contractors sharing one pad $800.00 each because this is the only park (I use that term loosely) around. It is scatchy to walk around this park. One RV has a big dog house and a washing machine parked outside his RV. Another RV has a posted sign on it stating that it has so many days to be removed or it will be towed. I THINK she is taking advantage and had we known what this place was like, we would have stayed in a dumpster which would have been nicer.

Concrete for the motorhome is great and small yards with a tree here and there. It's got full hookups at all Sites which helps a lot when visiting McKinney Texas or Melissa Texas. It's been an Amazing place, pecans all over, quite, RV's are kept clean and the people tend to stay to themselves. Owner has provided a great location and ample of space for the Full timers. I highly recommend if you want to save money and live in peace. My husband said maintenance is super friendly too. Our son has no concerns and love that he's close to home. They are also adding amenity's to the RV park.
