She offered a new burger but since my party was finished and the food took so long initially I declined. I decided to take it home for someone else to eat. I was pretty disappointed in the experience. The other members of my party said their food was fine, nothing special. But what really got me mad was when the bill came. They charge 50 cents for the to go box for me to take home the burger they had messed up, that I would have otherwise eaten if done correctly. The waitress knew I was unhappy with my burger, so I really think waiving the container fee would have been a smart idea. Hey, maybe tell people about the fee too! It's not the about the 50 cents, it's the principle of the matter. This wasn't a take out order, this was trying not to waste the food that was prepared incorrectly. Also be aware of undisclosed extra charges. One person asked for extra pickles on his sandwich and there was a charge for that. The other person asked for extra tartar sauce and was also hit with an additional charge. If that's your policy fine, but servers should be mentioning it.

Beer is always fab (as expected) and they have a huge variety. They don't sell as much in cans unfortunately, but there are a few flavors available if you want to purchase some to take home. Service is always friendly, and they keep the calendar packed with fun events and live music. Overall this is a Bolton Landing favorite and we always look forward to visiting.
