I went…read morethere and when you first see the place, it looks like a pretty small store from the outside but you're in for a surprise because it's actually huge inside! Since it's winter, they have TONS of winter sports gear like a great selection of skis, and skates of all sizes (men's (boys) and women's (girls) they also had some snow boards but nothing close to the other two. If you're into hockey, there's also a good selection of pads and sticks (who'd ever thought buying a consignment stick!) LOL :) As an added bonus, if you buy skates, they'll sharpen them for you right in the store... always a bonus. I can't wait for summer to see what they have for bikes and other cycling gear as well and all the other things that I'd love to "need" ;-) (hey I have to find a way for it to be a "need" vs. a want ....easier to buy! Everything seemed to be fairly priced and it's a spot that I'd go to and search before buying new simply because a lot of the stuff there is in almost new shape.

Price was fair, walk thru was kind of like buying a house compared to many other places/experiences we have had. Very formal, but still a positive experience and would recommend. Plus, we had a minor unrelated rv part issue. The service dept fixed it for us in just a few minutes and they were awesome.

Phoned to ask about a repair to my pontoon and was told to bring the boat in, no appointment…read morerequired. Showed up with boat and spoke with Gareth. He appeared irritated and didn't even look at the damage to the toon. Zero eye contact. Stated "I don't need that thing taking up space with the long weekend coming". I told him I was happy to take it home and keep it there once it was assessed and parts ordered. I then asked if he could do a pressure test to check it was sea worthy whilst waiting for parts. Gareth responded "I will not stake my business's reputation on that in an angry, frustrated tone. At this point I asked him if I had done something wrong to upset him and he back peddled slightly. I asked if he services pontoons there and he said yes but he had no way of pressure testing (a basic service requirement for toons). He didn't even want the keys to the boat. It was a super weird interaction. Very unprofessional. I was left feeling as if my bringing in the boat was a burden to him even though I was told to on the phone. Very poor communication. I felt very uncomfortable and subsequently went back and took my boat out of there and took it to Boathouse in SA. They were great and there were zero issues.

I drove in from Vernon and was hoping to get their expert opinion of the firearms and what I should be looking at for my first one. When I arrived at the back counter, there were three gentlemen working there. Not one of them acknowledged me, and the young guy there walked back and forth in front of me 3 or 4 times before he even asked, "Need a hand with anything?" I responded by asking where the .22 rifles were and he just pointed, then left me there alone for the rest of the time. At first I thought he was busy with another customer, but turns out he just didn't want to help anyone. Back and forth he went with a scowl on his face, head held high like he was the king of the castle. Long story short, if the prices were actually "wholesale" I'd be able to understand why their service is as bad as it is, but seeing as how their prices were much more expensive than my local firearms dealer with less selection, I will just be going to him. The heel-locking mechanism was faulty, which was by no means on them. What was their fault though was subsequently mocking my understanding of gear/skiing and only finally sheepishly relenting on the replacement when I insisted they try for themselves to lock/unlock the heel and they were incapable of doing so. Their "satisfaction guarantee" is about as flimsy as the calibre of their customer service. I regret not asking around before providing Attridge's with my business, given the abundance of other fantastic local options in Vernon. Chatting with locals, I hear the store has apparently gone very downhill since management changed a number of years ago. Suffice to say, I'll not be going back. Would score it lower on the star-rating scale but sadly the option isn't available.
