$309 to tow a car on the worst blizzard day of the year,working with the city to rip people off!Smh

My car was stolen and crashed. MCs Towing was called by a 3rd party at the site to tow this to the police. MCs Towing sent me several bills totaling $1000 for storage for weeks, while they did not have possession of the car besides a tow. Completely fraudulent bill apart from a 10-mile tow. When I called to inquire on the huge bill, due to it being in police custody, I was treated horrendously, including being hung up on!!! This is by far the most opportunistic and unethical towing company I've encountered. They towed my car while the engine was still running--completely unjustified. If they had the chance, I wouldn't be surprised if they towed a car with someone still inside. They operate without transparency--no receipts, no clear pricing, just a demand for payment because they already have your vehicle. It's nothing more than a ruthless money grab, and they take full advantage of anyone unfortunate enough to cross their path. Avoid them at all costs. read more

I ran into some deep water and the car stalled. They charged $325 to put the car on a flatbed truck and drive about 2 miles. I am not sure if they did any damage to the car when winching it onto the truck. My husband will check it out tomorrow for any damage. They only gave me a half -filled out receipt for the credit card payment. I am going to check with my nephew who works for a towing company in Oneonta. Depending upon his response, I will be filing a complaint with the state. Avoid this business, if you can. read more

My vehicle broke down at an intersection. No electric power. No engine power. Long story short. Sheriff called for a tow truck. The charges are $445 for a 14 mile tow. Isn't this outrageous? My insurance company and warranty company feel that this is extremely overpriced! I'll be putting this on social media as well. This company is bad news! read more

they are stealing everything out of your car soon as they can, then jammed the car so tight I couldn't even open the doors. had to climb thru the back of a wrecked car totally unsafe just to realize they already stole anything of value. The sheriff called these guys in after my car was totaled. The tower swept my car parts into the pile of the other tow company that arrived for the guy who was responsible for the accident. When he was called out on it, he cursed at the other tower and lied through his teeth. My accident was on a Friday, and I had spent all night on the ER. The good news- they're only open for two hours on a Saturday and the owner not only has to show in person but pay an outrageous fee and get reimbursed later. When I asked the guy at the door for my car, he drove the TOTALED CAR to the end of the block and left it, and me there, without concern. He also held onto the car key, so I had to walk the block to go back and get it, if only to turn the wheels straight enough to get a tow hitch on. This makes not just the tow company look awful, but I can't believe the police would have a contract set up with these guys. They were quick enough to get my car out of the road, but it was miserable dealing with them to get the car out of their lot. read more

They did a good job physically towing my car to their lot, but the tow truck driver stole personal items. I don't have proof so I can't go to the police, but when I came to retrieve my property less than 24 hours later, the car wasn't anything like how I had left it. The doors were locked and no windows were broken so I know it couldnt have been someone off the street. read more

Was not happy with the service. Staff was very rude. Prices were extremely unreasonable. Poor communication skills, at their best. Would not recommend if the car depended on it. I was fighting with my insurance for 2 months during that time I continued to call to let them know what was going on...the day I was going to pick it up, the man informed me my car had went to be scrapped. I was on my way into work this morning, and some jerk in one of their tow trucks pulled out in front of me in a 55 mph zone, then flipped me the bird and break checked me! License Plate number 20761-TT. This guy needs to be fired! Seriously, risk other peoples lives on their way to work because you're running a little late. I would give this place 0 stars if I could! If I could give 0 stars, I would. MC Towing company is horrible! The people who run the establishment are liars. My car was towed and the driver hooked it up wrong. He bent my axle, ruined my suspension, and destroyed my wheel bearings. Afterwards, they denied it was them who did the damage! My insurance is still fighting the claim. This place rates a ZERO! I was towed from an event for parking in an area that was open when I got there and closed when I left. I got there and saw the tow driver towing another vehicle. I asked him where my car was and he rudely informed me that It was at his lot and it would be $165.00 to get it...a 3 mile tow!! He began to get rude with me when I asked about getting it and that the signs were not visible, he argued with me using foul language and then told me I could get my car the next day! He was the rudest man I've ever spoken to. He hung up on me multiple times swearing and holding my car basically hostage overnight! This business preys on people with their excessive tow rates! NEVER EVER DO ANY business with them. They will take advantage of you, disrespect you and lighten your pocket significantly. read more

Too bad I can't give them 0 stars. They are rude and disrespectful. They pray on consumers and extort them. Law enforcement ordered my vehicle to be towed from the scene of an accident despite having someone on the way to move it. Not only would they not release my vehicle to me (with my release papers from the police department) but they refused to work out a payment plan to stop the daily fee. They charged me more for the tow from the accident then they charge the average customer as well. The crappiest company I have ever dealt with. I have never had more of an awful experience with the business then my experience with them. They made me pay $179.00 to two my car two miles. The man who towed my car was extremely rude and the language he used was completely unessacary. Also the fact that he hung up on me was also uncalled for. This business should be shut down or that guy fired. All in all the business sucks and the people are scumbags. If you get towed by them, be prepared to pay them an insane amount of money and have to deal with a heartless man. read more
