As I walked to the material I needed to load, one of the young men walked over to me and asked if I needed help. I'm sporting a cane post knee surgery. The young man loaded my item into my truck. At this point, both introduced themselves. I thanked them, and then I told them I had been purchasing flooring from Bartz for 40 years. they thanked me for being a loyal customer. We need more young people like this!! I will continue to do business with Bartz and refer my friends to them!!

The work quality was poor, communication became unprofessional, and the contractor repeatedly made threats to remove installed asphalt, which is completely unacceptable and legally considered property damage. Once asphalt is installed, it becomes part of the real estate, and no reputable contractor would ever threaten to tear it out. The contractor failed to follow basic industry standards, did not honor agreed‑upon terms, and created unnecessary conflict instead of resolving issues professionally. I cannot recommend this company to anyone looking for licensed, reliable, ethical, or competent work This statement is not accurate. The check did not "bounce" due to insufficient funds -- it was rejected because the contractor attempted to deposit it before the bank draw was released. I have made multiple attempts to resolve payment directly and professionally. It is also misleading to claim you "had to go to the police." A civil payment dispute is not a criminal matter, and the police do not enforce contractor payment disagreements. Filing a "complaint" does not create a case, nor does it validate the claims being made here. I left my review because of the contractor's conduct, including repeated threats, (I have texts) unprofessional communication, and refusal to resolve the issue through normal business channels. I stand by my review, and I am continuing to address this matter properly and through the correct processes.

I have been a loyal customer of Poblocki Paving for years. I few years ago (2024) I had them…read moreresurface my driveway. After about six months the asphalt starting peeling. I call them and spoke with Jill and talked to her about it and she said "yes, they had other people this had happened to and they are working on it". At the same time I was having my home insulated by USA Insulation and their their truck spilled chemicals over my newly done driveway. So I had two problems with the same driveway. USA Insulation agreed to pay for their portion of the damage in multiple stages if necessary regardless of the price. Poblocki drafted a letter which was signed by USA Insulation and Pobocki promising to supervise the redoing of the driveway. I called numerous times trying to get some idea when this was going to get resolved and heard nothing. Finally I received a call from Jill telling me that Poblocki was selling the business and she would get back to me after everything was settled. Jill called last March telling me that they are now ready to proceed and as soon as two of her people have returned to Milwaukee they would be out to evaluate the current condition and they would move forward. I would not have to be home to meet with them. In April their crew was here for four hours power washing the driveway. I assumed they were preparing it for the work to be done. Since then I heard nothing. Last week I call Poblock and was told that Jill quit her job and that they would get back to me. I explained everything, again. I have heard nothing and am fearful that my next step is to hire an attorney to pursue them which is unfortunate since they have a financial commitment from USA Insulation and the only balance would have to come from them to cover the defective asphalt they applied which caused the problem. So anyone thinking Poblocki Paving whose reputation was always "the best" is going to stand behind their name and service needs to think twice before hiring them. It has been a dreadful situation for any homeowner to struggle through. They just don't care. I attempted to upload photos of the damaged driveway but had difficulty. I will keep trying.
