I ran this idea to a couple other paint shops and their estimate was either astronomical or they simply refused to "fix up" and older vehicle. I went to Convoy Auto Body and spoke to Sean. He listened carefully to my idea and said no problem, which is all I wanted to hear. He quoted me a very fair price so I made an appointment. They had my truck for two weeks but when I got it back it looked much better than it did before (also all I wanted). The customer service and workmanship was excellent (this was a full sand down to bare metal, which is he proper way to do it), but only time will tell how well the clear cost holds up in the UV sunlight. I'm hopeful it lasts a long time! I definitely recommend Sean and Convoy Auto Body.

I was not pleased with the service or the amount I was charged regarding my 1963 Chevy Impala. I…read morehad been in communication with Tony to arrange a time to drop off my vehicle. At no point was I given an estimate, invoice, or explanation of their hourly diagnostic rate. The issue involved an electrical problem, and Tony informed me that his top mechanic specializing in electrical work would be available that Friday, so I dropped the vehicle off that day. It was not until the following Wednesday that I received a call from Tony stating my car was ready. I took time off work to pick up the vehicle, only to find out upon arrival that it was not actually ready. I could not get a straight answer regarding the delay. The next day, Friday, I was told the vehicle was finally ready. What I find most disturbing is that I never received a phone call explaining the problem, discussing the repairs needed, or authorizing the final cost before the work was completed. After three hours of diagnostics, they concluded that I needed a new alternator. We are talking about a 1963 Chevy Impala -- not a particularly complicated vehicle. Tony simply assumed that whatever amount appeared on the final bill was my responsibility without any prior approval or communication. Ironically, Tony himself stated, "It's a very simple vehicle to work on." Based on this experience, I would never return to that shop again. I no longer trust Tony or the way this business operates.

I cannot say enough good things about this shop! I had been trying for months to get a hitch…read morereceiver and bike rack installed on my car but ran into roadblock after roadblock. My car model was only produced for two years, and everywhere I called--including U-Haul--kept telling me the part was on order, only to cancel it again because there wasn't one available. Thankfully, another shop referred me here, (To Tony) and I'm so glad they did. From the moment I called, he was like "no problem, I will take care of it". He was professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely interested in finding a solution for me. They went above and beyond to source and install a hitch receiver that would fit my unique car and then mounted my bike rack perfectly. The bike rack I had ordered from Amazon was not of good quality. Tony is a dealer for Rocky Mounts and said "no problem" again and ordered me a rack that is so perfect for me to use easily. The level of skill, attention to detail, and customer service here is truly outstanding. Everyone is so nice. They did what no one else could--and they did it quickly and at a fair price. If you have a car that's hard to fit or need specialized work done, I absolutely recommend this place. They're problem-solvers, and they genuinely care about their customers. Thank you so much for making it possible for me to transport my bikes safely and securely. I'm a customer for life!

This repair was covered by insurance, which Todd helped us navigate. I was also concerned with the overall repair process, as our car has a special matte paint finish that is tricky to deal with. I definitely recommend you seek them out for an estimate and to get your vehicle repaired!

Very rarely if ever have I given a review, not wanting to be a bother or cause any sort of trouble,…read morehowever VALUED customers, BEWARE OF THIER LACK OF COMMUNICATION AND CUSTOMER SERVICE... Initially we brought our vehicle here in the very early days of 2026 for repairs. Some minor, others a bit more extensive. I came here with HOPE wanting to know that my family and I would be taken care of with QUALITY service and speedy care from a slightly traumatizing experience. Our car is barely a year old, less than 20,000 miles, with some damage to the right bumper, headlight, grill, and wire harness. We would get in contact with them, multiple days only to be met with "they are currently busy/out to lunch, would you like us have X Technician give you a call back?" I'm not a car guru, it's why we brought it here, but as for customer satisfaction and service so far, it has been highly disappointing. There is ABSOLUTELY no accountability for promptness. IF THERE EVER WAS A PLACE THAT NEEDED TO BE ON "Undercover Boss", THEN LOOK NO FURTHER... Forgive any extra dramatics, but I'm at Witt's end. It should not take constant periodic calls from the customer to check on the condition of their vehicle. It shouldn't take weeks for the technician to pick up the phone and explain what's going on. Or for them to get parts in and realize that the wrong parts had been ordered for a car that is LAST YEARS model, multiple times. Especially now that we are going into the month of MAY. It's been in the shop for Close to 5 months... While it slightly lessens the sting to joke, the fact that family members ask if it'll be done by next year, it fills me with dread. Because I hope that our vehicle is built soundly. I hope to rest easy and know that my family and I will be safe for when we do get to finally drive away from this Collision Center.

As is the case with cars, there is always something...heh. So when I recently brought my Audi SUV…read moreto the Audi dealership to get a little trim piece repaired under warranty, I also learned that my rear brakes/rotors were in dire need of replacing with a cost estimate that was not music to my ears. So I did what any person in my case would do, and I called Dieters to see what their thoughts on my rear brakes are. An initial estimate over the phone came in quite a bit lower than what I was quoted at the dealership, and I made arrangements to bring my car in to get it looked at. Upon inspection of the car, it was decided that the vehicle does need new rear brake pads and rotors, but my front brakes are in great shape! How the rear brakes wore down so severely while the front brakes are pristine is a mystery that I guess will never be solved. Anyway, I agreed to bring the car in on the following Monday for the repair work to be done. Dieters is about a mile from where I live, so I was able to walk home after dropping the car off. (As I trudged home, I kind of missed the free loaner car and snacks from the dealership, but then I remembered that I was saving money, and those thoughts quickly flitted away.) About three hours later, I received a text indicating that my car was ready to go, so my dog and I made the trek back to Dieters. The final bill was higher than the original estimate but still $400 less than what the dealer had quoted, so all in all, I was happy with the situation. There is also a 12 month/12,000 mile warranty on the work, which I appreciate. Another note is that Traci who works the front desk at Dieters is very helpful and efficient. She is the glue that keeps the place running smoothly and it was a pleasure interacting with her. Overall, Dieters is a great local repair shop that expertly took care of my vehicle, and I will definitely return for future repairs to my ride. Danke!
