This guy shows up. I didn't know who he was. He told me that his father Joe Seimah had passed away in 2016. Long story short. I find out I am being overcharged. He required $2,500 up front. Brought one man with him. They botched up the Living ceiling with putty. I asked him to cut a space out using the sheet rock that I had. Ask him Joseph Seimah to finish out the $2,500. He became angry. Painted the Living room, Dining room and Kitchen for $2,500. Left a mess. Then one of his workers texted. I know you got a bad deal. I want to help. I will finish painting your house for $700. CashApp me $350. He said he was bathing his daughter, was going to drop her off at the sitter and be at my home. Didn't show. Where are you. Oh I got MoS5 of the supplies. He never showed. Text back. I found one man. We will be there tomorrow. I said I have to work. If you can't come today, Saturday a week ago, CashApp me my money back. He never did. Acted like I owed him. It is sad that you have these younger guys out here pretending to do business, while cheating people out of their hard earned money. I got no service from James Stapleton. He has NOT Refunded me my money. CashApp couldn't get it back. He obviously paid his Rent. I am going to file charges with the authorities. I hate to do it, but look how much money I'm out, and still have to pay someone to paint the rest of my house. What a disappointment. Joe Seimah must be turning over in his grave with this foolishness. They don't give Contracts. No exchange of paperwork. Bad business dealings.

The transformation, still in its early stages, was unbelievable! I had been looking for a plumber to replace our bathtub liner (which had allowed water to collect between the liner and the original bathtub) with a new bathtub. A friend recommended Ruben Fernandez, who had remodeled their bathrooms and done an excellent job, and had done all the plumbing, tile, and electrical work himself. Ruben gave me a good price to remove the bathtub liner, install a new bathtub, and replace the three rows of tile adjacent to the new tub. Because the existing tile was so old, I hadn't had much luck finding a decent match to it. Ruben suggested, in a very low-pressure manner, remodeling the whole bathroom. I had never considered this, as we have tackled home improvement over the years on a more incremental basis, and had never taken on a project as daunting as removing walls down to the studs. But I was very impressed with Ruben's approach and meticulous manner and he gave us a good price, so we took the leap. Ruben and his two helpers encountered so many unforeseen problems, e.g, the horrific amount of mold under the liner, insulation missing between the studs, plumbing not up to code, etc. All of these problems were no doubt time-consuming to correct. Yet Ruben was tireless and always in good humor. He refused to charge me for all the additional labor, which I would guess added close to two days to the job. Ruben said time and time again, "It's important to do the job right." That was his motto, and the finished result shows his meticulous workmanship and attention to detail. We are absolutely delighted with our new bathroom and are so glad we entrusted the project to Ruben. I couldn't recommend K.A.C. Painting and Remodeling too highly or say enough good things about Ruben or his crew! We look forward to him "working his magic" and transforming our laundry room very soon.

We wanted 8' x 14' built-ins along a living room wall, with cabinets along the bottom and open shelving above that. We found Roberto to be friendly, flexible, meticulous, and very reasonably priced. He has great craftsmanship, and is a very good carpenter. His communication was fantastic and very responsive, and he stuck to his original quote and timing even when we asked for minor modifications. He and his assistants did great work, and did it quickly, and the resulting shelving looks like it has always been there. We are delighted with it. All of Roberto's cabinets or shelving are built on site, with real wood, and are very solid. He uses 1" or 3/4" where others use 3/4" or 1/2". All of the work was completed in two-and-a-half days, and he and his workers were very pleasant to have around. Roberto has a well earned strong recommendation from us.

Unfortunately the company is experiencing a ton of turn over and I have actually heard from other clients they are just as frustrated as we are. Every time Dannex comes back to fix things they ruin something else and the last straw for us was that they are denying responsibility for a leak in the foundation of the addition they installed. My review update to this negative stance was recently removed off yelp. It was brought to my attention by another client who is having problems and asked me if I was able to find any resolution. Thankfully my husband is in construction and in order to end this headache we are having Dannex fix some bad tiling work and we will tackle the basement ourselves. Overall, there are other companies I would have rather spent $180,000 with.
