Typical mall stationary store. Small selection of postcards, but good enough to serve our needs. Friendly owner/manager at the register.

I purchased a blank card with fins that fold out to create the image of an evergreen tree. The goods are a bit on the expensive side, but there are also affordable options, like the cards and thank you notes. As I'm aware McPaper is a small chain in Germany and this branch is located on Leipziger Str. The staff member working here, spoke little (if any) English but she still did seem really helpful, especially considering I didn't end up buying anything and she appeared to struggle speaking English. The range of the shop was okay, they had a nice selection of lever arch files, which I would have liked to purchase but being limited to room in my suitcase and my past issues with lever arch files (see my reviews for Ryman and WHSmith), I didn't want to take the risk of the products becoming faulty and being unable to return them as I'm of course from Manchester which is a good 900 or so miles from Berlin off the top of my head, and around a 1 hour and 50 minute flight with Ryanair or Easyjet, which I'm currently on as I write this review, returning to my home city. The range of most products was okay, yet some things would in my eyes be classed as junk, some items were a tad expensive and the staff member working seemed nice enough to warrant a medium to high two star rating.

After reviewing their website, I was positively vibrating to come to this store. It has a lovely selection of both German & Japanese stationary/office supplies. It is a tiny little shop, and I think their website contains many more items than were available on display. This was a disappointment because there were several things I'd hoped to check out (including an incredible looking pair of scissors!) Considering the number of AMAZING schreibtish suppliers in Germany, I was frankly a little disappointed with the number of Japanese products. Yes, they are also lovely, but the shop is in Berlin... Definitely worth a stop in, but maybe look at the website afterwards so you're not disappointed.

I was not greeted, welcomed, or even acknowledged. I was simply told they were closed and I should go to a local department store to make a purchase.
