The whole rental management team has been great. Things have been fixed very quick (I've only had a couple minor things). The complex is always being upgraded. They just replaced the elevator motor, installed a gate intercom system, and are in the process of upgrading their security camera system. The grounds are kept really clean and the units are really clean. I've never had bug issues. They've got cheap laundry facilities. Definitely recommended to anyone looking for a great place to live.

Brand new apartment building south of the river…read more 1. Location - I wanted to move near water & not be in a crazy busy area. I love that it's near Tennis courts, a Publix & not on a busy road. It's nice not tons of cars are going to be around unless they have to absolutely be around there. I also wanted to live near water, but I also did not find anything I liked near the beach...so being by the river is nice. Plus I love seeing the boats pass by~ very soothing 2. The building & unit - elegant & creative. A beautiful bundle. This building has specific floor layouts for units I could not find elsewhere like built-in closet organizers for walk in closet, tub + shower + double sinks all in one unit- this was quite rare to find. *high ceilings only in select units* ~ amenities are nice; pool, sauna, mini movie theater, a gym. I also love that the garage has high ceilings~ some garages feel very cramped- this one does not, thankfully 3. Grateful for life & to see how the city has been growing. Alex the Manager gave us a tour of the property and the rest was history. The Remy has been our home for only a few months but we couldn't be happier. When we first started hunting for apartments, we had viewed many of the high-end rentals in downtown FLL but were pretty disappointed with our options. Many were clearly lacking in community, some had a weird "college bro" vibe, and others were missing that modern style and charm we wanted. However, we were pleasantly shocked when we discovered the Metropolitan. We knew right away we could call this place "home". Living at the Metropolitan has exceeded our expectations, and we love it here! The entire complex is *brand new*. The facilities and amenities (pool, gym, grills, park, etc) are high quality, in pristine condition and well-maintained. The units themselves are gorgeous with brand-new appliances, spacious open floorplans, and modern/minimalistic design. The staff are so professional, friendly and responsive. I love that they make a real effort to know all of their residents (I think they know everyone's names!). Also, they always host free community events for residents which are awesome (cocktails by the pool on Sundays, sushi night, paella night, food truck night, etc to name a few). I remember they took incredible care of the residents especially during Hurricane Irma, and were so communicative with updates to evacuees. The location is terrific - walking distance from Wilton Dr., less than 10 mins drive to the beach, only 5 mins drive to major highways, and a short walk to the Alchemist and other great restaurants. Colohatchee Park is adjacent to the complex and a great place for a walk, to take your dog, or go kayaking/standup paddleboarding in Wilton Manors' canals. In short, there's a very good reason why they are always near 100% occupancy. People love it here!

I brought my elderly, disabled mother--who uses a walker and has dementia-- last week to tour an apartment to assess its accessibility. Despite providing my driver's license as her caregiver, the leasing agent demanded my mother's ID. I explained she doesn't have one due to her obvious disabilities, but the manager refused to let us view the property. The manager initially claimed it was a legal requirement. When I challenged this false statement and pointed out that it was discriminatory against disabled elderly persons, she abruptly changed her story and said it was now "company policy" not to allow anyone over 18 without an ID. I countered by explaining that I had toured at least 9 competing properties in the area, all of which accepted just my driver's license without issue. None of them demanded an ID from my mother, given her very visible disability and the fact that she could barely stand, even with a walker. Yet The Metropolitan refused to make any accommodation. This company's behavior was uniquely cruel and highlights their blatant discrimination against disabled elderly persons. Their lack of compassion or willingness to accommodate someone with obvious physical limitations is disgraceful. If you or a loved one have special needs, avoid this place at all costs--they clearly have no interest in treating people with dignity or respect.

I highly recommend this complex to anyone. Neighbors are good, amenities are super good, and you feel safe and secure. 2 years till today I still wanna keep liviNg here. There's always events going on, get together with management and neighbors. So there's no reason to leave. I've always feel that if a complex has consistent residents it's a complex you wanna try to live in. 10 stars

I wanted to explore on my own. When i arrived, the young ladies that worked here were very attentive, even offered us donuts (which were delicious by the way). I was given a key, and a map on where to go. We explored the community which is super nice and were able to look at a few apartments with different finishes. They are very nice but i feel like the bedrooms are really small, especially the master and the closets as well. I didn't understand why a walk in closet that was already small would have a door that opens into the closet taking up more space. If it wasn't for the size of the bedrooms and the closets and the weird way the doors open into them, i would move here.

Not only is the community new and pristine, but the staff is also very professional and accommodating. In my preliminary search, I spoke directly with Elsie in the leasing office many times. Elsie was also patient and courteous during these phone calls, and she also followed up with me when she said she would. When I decided to lease an apartment, Elsie made the paperwork process easy and quick. She never acted bothered by my questions, and took the time to explain all pertinent details to me. Up to this point, I have been very pleased with the quality of service that I have received. To comment on the actual apartments, they are well built and have high end appliances. I have viewed other complexes in the area, and do not believe they are as nice as Town University. If you are searching for a new apartment, I would highly recommend that you go speak to Elsie in the leasing office before going anywhere else.
