I read reviews about their excellent customer service and quality work prior to selecting their business. We purchased vinyl plank - click boards. Jeff was great to deal with at the beginning. We gutted the floors ourselves, moved everything downstairs so that when Kerber came in, at the beginning of May 2022, all they had to do was put the floor in. There were scheduling issues and they were not able to come on the days that were planned. This resulted in our family sleeping on air mattresses, setting them up each night and taking them down each morning as we were advised each day that today they will come and then they never came for 3 days. We were given a $500 discount for this inconvenience which I thought was very kind of them. The workers completed the work in 2 days - doing our entire main floor. When I got home on the last day, I came home to a huge mess outside our home, plus a huge mess inside our home. I left the workers with a shop vac in the house to use which they clearly did not use. The workers left 3 piles of their debris/scrapes throughout our home. Left debris in our furnace ducts. There were scratch marks and scuff marks on our floors from moving the appliances and who knows what else, boards that were not clicked together, gaps between the planks, boards cut too short under our dishwasher, gouged the back of our cupboards to put the planks underneath, lack of silicone done and loose boards. That night, I spent cleaning up the mess, that I paid Kerber Floors to do and trying to scrub the scuff/scratch marks off. Some of them came out but there were many that did not, especially in the kitchen. I called Kerber Floors the next day, Jeff came and took pictures and said this would all get corrected. Time passed and they sent Jonn, the owner, to come to our house with another worker to fix the issues. Jonn told me that this was too big of a job to fix for him and his worker so he left. Before he left I asked him if he was going to clean up the mess outside. He took his shop vac and cleaned for less than 2 mins and kicked the rocks around. I had to ask him to clean up the mess off our front steps. Then I received an email from Jeff stating that Jonn sees everything as a non-issue and that there is an industry standard, that was never communicated to us. If he can't see the marks from 3 ft away, then it is nothing they are concerned about. There were marks that were small and I was willing to let those be however there were long scratch marks from our dining room, all the way to where the stove and fridge go and they said they couldn't see them when clearly you could. Jonn lied right to my face when he was in our home. Kerber Floors did not care about the quality of work that was completed in our home. They did not care about the mess that was left in front of our home. They did not care about the amount of time that our home was not put back together. Come September 2022, Jeff lies to me about the $500 discount. He said that the $500 discount now included the clean up of the mess that was left when we have previous emails from him stating it was for the inconveniences of them not showing up when they had planned. There have been more lies with them and lack of respect for our home then I could even imagine for a long standing business in Lethbridge. Finally at the end of August 2022, they finally send an expert installer, as they indicated in the email to us, to fix some of the issues. The installer, who was fantastic and very professional, compared to Kerber, could not believe the quality of work that was done in our home. The installer said that the only way to fix what was done was to redo the floors. Kerber Floors didn't care about this inconvenience either. I do not recommend Kerber Floors to anyone.
