Interesting little spot. We've driven by for years saying that we would stop in one day and we finally did. I normally think of antique shops as cluttered and dusty but this was far from that stereotype. Everything was nicely spaced and looked to be very clean. Seems to be mostly furniture items including dressers, desks and chairs. There is a downstairs, but it was unfinished space with not quite as nice items. Oddly enough, the thing that we were intrigued with the most was the selection of hand soaps and cleaners. There are a few shelving units in the middle of the store displaying these items and they small incredible. I had asked the lady working there if they were locally made, which I think in a roundabout way she said yes, but after doing a little research, I later discovered they were not. I guess at least we were buying them at a local store. The foaming hand soap is reasonably priced for the size and there are matching multipurpose cleaners. I highly recommend the Honey Almond and Lemon Basil scents. We loved them so much that we went back to grab a few for holiday gifts. Definitely a decent spot to spend a few minutes browsing around if you happen to be in the neighborhood. read more

I would love to give 0 stars. After reading all of these reviews I'm glad I am not the only one that the owner lady has been rude to. I was walking around and entered an area and she fully yelled at me saying it was their worker area. She then came up and asked what we were looking for and said "just looking." She responded with "the gift shop down the street is good for just looking, maybe you should go there." Not to mention everything is 500% overpriced for shitty quality antiques. You can definitely find better at goodwill. read more

I go by this place every day and had not actually made it inside until recently. I'm so glad I did. I'm not really into nick nacky antiques so I was pleasantly surprised when I walked inside Mc Millan. It's very open and airy unlike most antique stores that seem cramped and full of dust. When I visited they had quite a bit of furniture and larger items (old cash registers, pinball machines). Many of their antiques seemed like functional pieces of home decor, rather than collectibles. The over all style of the store was much younger and hipper than I expected. (Can you describe an antique store as "young" and "hip"? ...well I just did.) They also sell Trapp candles which I guess is a big deal to some people. read more

I've purchased several items here over the years and have always come across great finds, including a tall bookshelf and a mid-century Plycraft lounge chair The prices are very reasonable and fair, and the people have always been super helpful and nice. read more

I have driven here three separate occasions during the "business hours" and the shop has either been closed/lights off or lights on with the doors locked. I have also called a handful of times and received no answer. It's unfortunate because I would love to take a look at a piece I saw posted on social media, but can't seem to get in the store! I'll have to go elsewhere. Should consider updating more accurate business hours for your customers. read more

I went in and there were 2 ladies talking.one lady was painting and the other lady sitting watching and talking to the first person. Could not tell if either one was the owner, neither said hello or good afternoon. I went in looking for a particular item. The 2 ladies continued to talk as I walked around at least 4 times. Not one of these ladies asked me , can I help you or do you need some info, nothing. I walked out after not finding my item, and they saw me walking out and didn't say anything to me. I have been in the retail 4 over 30 years and I was really surprised, how people don't care about their own establishment. read more

This place always has a really great selection of stuff - better, I think, than other antique/vintage stores in Omaha. I have gotten a few, really cool retro pieces of furniture there. And, the stuff is always priced really reasonably. Recently, I bought a vintage 1950s sewing machine chair there and then saw the same chair, though in terrible condition, in a store in Chicago for something like three times the price. Granted, stuff in Chicago is always more expensive, but I think McMillan's is the only place in Omaha that has the kind of urban, trendy vintage pieces that I'm used to finding in Chicago, but for way cheaper. read more

Antique shopping is not my usual hobby, so I'm not exactly sure what the "normal" attitude of the shop owner should be. Making our way up Leavenworth we stopped in several shops looking for a table to put in a corner or a trunk we could make into a corner table, we had already stopped in several places and no luck. We were really excited when we found this trunk at McMillans but when we asked about the price which was very high the woman who seemed to be the shop owner was extremely rude and only offered to take very little (like $5) off the price. We pointed out that the places around her shop were selling similar items for 20% off. She immediately asked us to leave her shop and go there then. So sad that people have to act this way, not sure how it adds to growing the local economy. :/ read more

Talk about a lovely experience, the woman that runs the store was so helpful. She really knows her business and was able to help me find the perfect piece for our downtown condo. She also told us if we want to sell any furniture that won't go with our new condo she would possibly buy it from us. Talk about one stop full service, she offers it all. We will make sure we stop if often to see what else we may find at her truly unique store. It has such a diverse selection of items, from furniture, clothing, chandeliers, and one of a kind finds. They have the best chandeliers I have found anywhere- great quality pieces , restored and ready for my electrician to install!!! I have also found lamp parts and drawer pulls for some of my vintage pieces!! Very helpful people . Plus they will deliver!! read more

I recently stopped by this little shop and was pleased with the selection of furniture and items they offered. Antique store with more! Love the retro and repurposed furniture. Had a great experience last night at McMillan's. Unlike previous reviews, the owner was amazing to work with, had terrific inventory (mostly furniture that can be repurposed!) I bought wrought iron patio furniture at a great price and the owner offered to deliver it! Can't get any better than that!. A must see in Omaha! Love this place....I will be back! read more

This place does have some wonderful antiques, however, the customer service is appalling. While I was searching for a night stand I could hear the older lady working talking on the phone with Apple about not being able to delete pictures on her facebook. I was very interested in a record stand I found but she was too busy on the phone to bother with questions. I was about to go to the lower level when she said "Since you don't look like you are buying anything she is going to close down because I have to get my computer fixed." I asked if I could have 5 more minutes to see the things downstairs. She said no that I had to leave. I believe because I am a young person I was treated as if I was not "able" to shop there. I will never shop there again due to lack of customer service and just complete and utter rudeness. All because she couldn't figure out how to delete pics from facebook. Which I would have gladly helped her with if she woul hadn't kicked me out of the store. read more
