Then we decided to hire Mike as our General Contractor; after that, costs went down and quality skyrocketed. After getting multiple estimates for a new driveway installation -- which included removing our existing one that had become unsafe to walk on -- we were quoted anywhere from $47,000 to $95,000 for the same scope of work. From the start, Carson Winter impressed us. He told me that even if we didn't hire him, he would still be happy to help by connecting us with other tradespeople he trusted. That kind of integrity stood out immediately. We ultimately decided to hire Carson and CL Winter Construction, and we couldn't be happier. I explained what I envisioned, and Carson not only listened carefully but also offered thoughtful suggestions -- including widening the driveway by two feet, which turned out to be an excellent improvement. He didn't rely on blueprints but instead hand-drew exactly what I described, and then brought it to life beautifully.
